Doom 2: Good Morning Phobos - Map 11: Spider Factory (UV Max)

This is an updated 2021 version of sincity2100’s original 2017 release of GMP. It upgrades the soundtrack of multiple maps, makes several map replacements, and makes smaller improvements to other maps.
Good Morning Phobos is a 33 map WAD. It takes heavy influence from the likes of TNT: Evilution, Perdition’s Gate, and some newer WADs. It also heavily utilizes the Community Chest 4 texture pack. Some might see it as a drawback, due to how much it’s used, but the gameplay makes up for whatever visual/aesthetic flaws the WAD has.
This is an underrated pick, in my opinion, for the top WADs of the 2010s. The combat is addictive as hell, and sincity’s ability to make consistently fun and engaging levels is something to admire.

My god did this map get an upgrade in the MIDI department. Doom 1's E1M1 MIDI used to accompany this map and man is that a boring choice. I'm so glad sincity decided to give this map a proper soundtrack because it's pretty fun.
It uses a similar layout/setup to MAP02, with the hub you start out in, and as advertised makes heavy usage of Spiders.
The factory part itself is definitely my favorite stretch of gameplay. It's a pretty dangerous section, and the Rocket Launcher and secret Plasma Rifle make it even more enjoyable. The red key ambush is also fun enough to not piss me off, mostly because of the invulnerability. I don't think it's telegraphed enough, but that texture does invite players to press on a wall that has it, so I guess it's fine.
The secret BFG at the end also makes the final room that much more fun to blaze through, and I love to immediately turn around and waste the Big Spider with it. Overall, this was a surprisingly fun one.
