Wracaliśmy wieczorem, wykąpani, opaleni i zmęczeni. Ech wspomnienia. 😊😊👍👍
@@matrixmannn yeah…in truth we spent most of the trip chilling on the beach 😜 We did go into the centre and I’m glad I checked out the Labirynth but for me the Dunes were the main reason to go, there were places selling fish and ice cream but I’m not sure how fresh 😅 Wish I had seen it back in the day!
@@britinpoland2392 To były inne czasy. Moja młodość to lata 70-te XX w. 😂😂
@@matrixmannn I went to Cyprus when I was 18, ended up at Protarus and it was quiet, more families than teenagers, plenty of space on the beach, a few bars and select restaurants, it was great! Went back about 15 years later and there were countless hotels and bars, the beach was packed with Russians…it was heartbreaking to see how much it changed 🙁
The hangars and destroyed fancing were parts of the former Missile Air Defence Battalion base (1974-1999). It's a pleasure to see that you enjoyed your 4 days stay in my hometown. I would recommend to visit Łeba in late August or early September, to avoid the crowds and still be able to enjoy almost all the attraction (as some of them are only opened during the high season). And the "crocodile" house is just the owner's taste for ornaments :)
4:01 The cemetry in the woods is a former Evangelical cemetery in Łeba. The Dunes are on my list to visit but not in the season because of the crowds and heat which I avoid wherever I go. However, the transport there can be complicated if you are not a driver. You go by train to Lębork and then what? A taxi, a mini bus maybe?
It looks a realy nice place but I have not seen it for myself. I met a girl called Teresa in Moscow in 1983 who was a student of the Russian language at the Pushkin Institute. Her university back home was the university of Gdansk based in Oliva. She came from a small village called Bialoarda in northern Poland, not so very far from Slupsk, so again, not very far away from where you were here. It would have been one of her local seaside resorts! I sometimes wonder what became of her after all these years...
@@michaelmckelvey5122 ahh, always good to reminisce 😊 Słupsk would be somewhere I want to get to as well sometime, I think it’s significant for ancient history
Fascinating! I know the land was inhabited for a very long time before the first ‘official’ villages took route, given the location it would make sense to have some Viking connection, as we know they had a base in Wolin to the west…I think there’s much to discover 😊

@@britinpoland2392 To prawda. Przemysł turystyczny zrobił się strasznie agresywny. Dobrej nocy.

Thanks for the extra information! Often locals can tell you a lot more than the internet can 😅
Wonderful place, truly a wonder of Poland ❤️
Never been to Leba, looks like an interesting city with quite a lot of activities and things to see. Thanks for the video.
Definitely recommend, was a lovely place, especially if you love the beach!

Pomorze's (Pomerania) mythology is quite similar to the Swedish one, some hills' names near Leba come from the Viking language.
