There are many channels run by travellers but most of them are ignorants in my opinion. This channel is different because a man who runs it is learning or trying to learn at least a history of the places he visits including local gossips and legends what makes it even more attractive when sharing some local folklore with viewers. Also very nice story telling and good pictures taken as well. Keep it that way please!
@@siwaszkotka thank you so much!!! My favourite comment ❤️ what I want to do with this channel is share the wonders of Poland and the great stories here 😊
Amazing views. You have really nice and relaxing voice, so it’s a pleasure to hear what you saying. And agree with others, quite good camera man you are.
A very nice informative video-one of the best so far! I have heard that the Slovak side of the border is even nicer. Perhaps we can meet up next summer?
@@britinpoland2392 Actually, on hindsight, it would have been interesting for you to have done a video with me. I remember Warsaw forty years ago, solidarnosc, the Warszawa (a Russian designed motor car) and the Syrenka (a funny looking two-doored two stoke engine motor car). I also remember the Pewex shops where you could buy better quality foreign products but only with foreign currency as well as the opposite irony of the queues to buy basic essentials such as srajtasma (toilet paper). It could have been a good opportunity to meet a Polish speaking Brit with many recollections!
@2:44 '...Krakow to Budapest in the middle ages...' - little correction - unfortunately there was no Budepest in the middle ages, as it was founded relatively recently, in 1873, from a merger of three municiaplites: Obuda, Buda and Pest.
That is interesting as I have never heard of Obuda. I have heard that Budapest was originally called Pest Buda. I suppose it simply sounds better the other way round!
@@michaelmckelvey5122 Obuda is the ancient (northern) part of the city historically going back to Roman times. The name is still in use, for example a university established some 20+ years ago was named Obuda University.

Pieniny Mountains.... Jackpot hit for a Brit 😉. Magnificent views. You got the gift as a camera man 😁👌👍👍👍.
Thank you 😊 getting lucky with the weather helped for sure! 😅
@britinpoland2392 Don't be to modest ;). We have a saying in Polish:" Luck favours the better one" 😉.

I’d say I have one more trip here in me to do rafting on the river and see one more famous peak! I’m sure we can coordinate something 😊

@@boguslawgajdeczko6207 it’s true, the route was actually to Buda specifically, though I thought I would simplify for viewers 😅
