I'm sad all of the players I grew up watching are retiring. Wow I feel old. He's obviously viewed as a great. But I think as time goes on, the sheer scope of his play and work will become more amazing to people. All of the top clubs in different countries and played for so long at a high level, even until the end. Dang. Respect. There's no one like Zlatan
He has to be the most skilled tall player we've seen so far. His skills, ball control & aerial ability were absolutely world class. Ridiculously agile for someone of his size.
For me, Zlatan is in the same league as Messi & CR7 when it comes ro greatest footballers of a generation. I mean, look at all those clubs he played for. Noe that is a career many footballers would ever dream of.
Zlatan was a beast, he was really great. However, to put him in the same category as CR7, Messi, Maradona, Pele, Cruyff, Zidane, etc, is being disingenuous. He's more on the level of guys like Modric, Xavi, Iniesta, Beckenbauer, van Basten, etc.
He's under the "Amazing, but not GOAT" territory.

I’ll preface this by saying Zlatan is one of my favorite players ever. It’s painfully odd that one of the best pure strikers of our time who can also dribble better than guys like Lewandowski etc…. Was passed around so much by clubs. If I was a manager or owner of a club I would do everything in my power to keep a player of his immense talent as my #9

Great video! I wish I could explain this feeling, maybe someone can help me. Watching the clips, it's amazing to see how much football changed over the course of Zlatan's career - quicker, more intense, more intricate tactically, less space, less time but also more smart and more competitive technically. But watching young Zlatan, he looks like a modern player in the early years if that makes sense? Like other players his age at that time don't look like they could play now (though of course it's impossible to say.) But watching it now it looks like Zlatan was always up to the task.
It's amazing how skilled he has been for so many years on such great clubs. He will be remembered by our generation, and for some generations to come.

@@BlackParade01 Damn, then I must be wrong. I watched Ajax live lots of times. I am from Belgium but reside in Holland a lot. I watched him score against ADO Den Haag, and two weeks later he was on a plane to Italy. Always thought that his goal against ADO was his last for Ajax.
