    Hey BTBRV, first-time commenter, and long-time subscriber. First of all, I love your channel and think your video's and presentation are awesome. I have no issue scrubbing through videos if I feel the need to skip anything... so keep up the great work. This is also pretty humbling to see all the comments on this fifth wheel as I own this exact one. For me and my family, we absolutely love it (to each their own, I guess). I do agree with some of the comments that this isn't really set up for full-timing based on interior storage and use of space, but for us the layout is perfect for us. We do RV quite a bit (this is my third RV) and it's our primary tool for vacationing, long weekends, etc (we use it a ton). The large kitchen and living room make it awesome for entertaining and having guests. There is a nice slide out pantry next to the refrigerator and plenty of counter space in the kitchen (we love to cook). I guess the video doesn't show that very well. The basement storage is off-the-charts as well. I like to bring a-lot toys with us to keep the family entertained and it's perfect for that. I also completely removed the door to the washing machine for easier access (and we use it with no problem). That huge slide-out storage tray in the basement is priceless. Once again, love your channel and keep up the great work!

    Enjoyed the video, thanks! Really like when you mention and discuss the better made and quality parts that should have been or could have been used or upgrades we would probably want and the pros and cons of all the important RV parts like the cable slide vs. the other type slide systems, the tire brands, the frame design, the axles, etc. Keep up the great work! Happy and safe RVing, Prost🍁🌻🍁

We have done quite a few upgrades including led diffuse lighting, lto battery banks, 1000w of solar panels, backsplash, finishing the trim work properly, resealing the shower. Etc. The kids love it, And with the master bedroom in the rear I can't hear them at night lol.

    It’s a very nice layout and depending upon where you camp and the views the Forward Kitchen could be awesome.
    That being said I’d love to see this floorplan essentially flipped with a mid bunk added in. I could also see in that layout flipping the kitchen to be on the lower level (meaning you don’t have to haul all your food up a few extra steps) and the living room elevated at the back. The negative there is likely less than ideal TV viewing.

    First, love the information and the tours. I like the airy feeling and the dinette. Love the big living room area. I am really thrown off by that weird kitchen sink. I know it’s a double sink but where it is placed makes it look like it’s just slammed in there as an afterthought. As much as I like the dinette, I’d give that up for a better sink placement. Another thing, the strange placement of the cabinet in the bathroom. Just weird that it’s placed on the bent wall. Finally, I CAN NOT deal with a laundry hookup in the bedroom.

    I love the kitchen but what I prefer about the front living version of this is the bath and 1/2 and the ability to section off the guest sleeping area in the front so you don't have to wade through people sleeping to get to your morning coffee. Also, the main bathroom in the FL is much bigger.

    I heard people say slide outs are bad to have. Cause the seals around the slide outs go bad quick. I live in a 40' 5th wheel camper. And it has no slide outs. I been living in it for 15 years. Never had leaks any where. Ask why I live in it. Will if I wanna move. All I gotta do is put up the sewer drainage pipe. Water lines and put up the power cable move the jacks and then hitch it to truck. I had neighbors say u wash ur clothes. I am like dam yes i do it has a washer and dryer in it. It's the stack up top kind. Never had a issue with them. I removed the gas stove. And installed an electric stove and oven.

    My parents bought a brand new 20th Anniversary Montana and have had a number of issues after just a few trips. LED tail lights filled with water, front rubber belly cover support bars fell off due to 8 corroded bolts. Kitchen faucet snapped at the base, rear end cap separated from both driver and passenger side at the seams and auto level system had to be replaced. Good thing they got a lifetime warranty.

Every 5th wheel and camper ive been in with showers like this have always put the door where you need to squeeze by the toilet or counter to get in instead of the other way. Its a pain in the a**! Also, huge step ups in showers suck. When i gone in for cancer treatment and my surgery, the step up always sucked as its usually a good 8in to 12in up step.

    16500 GVWR and can only carry 2760 pounds of cargo? In a 42 foot trailer? Man, my 39 foot fiver had 5K in cargo capacity. My current 21 foot TT has 2K in cargo capacity. Keep in mind this thing holds nearly 600 pounds of water with the water heater, and another 60 pounds of propane. 2K pounds of stuff seems like a lot, but it really isn't - especially considering the massive storage areas it has.

    @gypsyjr1371 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem I have with most of the Montana and like models is the sum of the axle ratings is as much as 2,000 pounds less than the GVWR. So the owner, maybe not understanding, thinks the trailer can weigh 16,000 (roughly) pounds, when in fact much above 14,000 and one or both axles are overloaded. Manufacturers need to step up and put 8k axles on the those. High end trailers do in fact match axle capacity to GVWR, unfortunately these mid-range trailers don't.

    Good video of a more expensive 5th wheel, but I was wondering if you could do some high dollar horse trailers with large luxury living quarters??? Possibly show the difference in build quality compared to 5th wheels... I’ve been looking into these trailers for a toy hauler, because it seems that the build quality is superior to most 5ivers... also seems with the opposing slides, and lower profile it would be more efficient to hear, and cool...

  • @darrellgordon9748
    @darrellgordon9748 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like lots about this 5th wheel, but do have some concerns regarding weights.. it shows 16500 gvwr on 14k worth of axles, dry weight of 13690. So it almost at max weight for axles rating before anything is added. I realize that some weight will transfer to truck when traveling, but just trailer sitting on 2x7k axles, wouldn’t that be stressing out the system just parked? Wish they use 3 axles... I see lots like this and it confuses me on how to watch weigh limits so not overloading rig abilities. If one takes it to 16500 would that be 2500 more then axles can handle? If you can clarify my understanding of it, maybe I’m missing the whole concept of the weights. 🤷‍♂️

    The kitchen could be laid out much better, not a fan of the beach style table. Table and separate chairs is much nicer. The gray tones and cabinets would brighten the place up. Most people these days use I pads to watch tv instead of the giant television on a he wall. And it would be great to have the washer dryer (separate) in the kitchen😊

    didn't like the floor plan. I'm sure some folks will. It's just that I don't like 2 step up levels which leaves a cramped living room. A raised kitchen level doesn't seem practical either, especially if you have to carry food up and down into the living area. Another thing I don't like that manufacturers do is placing seating so that if you're sitting on the side, you have to crane your neck to watch what's on the screen. I imagine some folks would end up with a stiff neck after a while. For the size of this RV, the interior seems awfully cramped and I, personally, could not live in it as a permanent dwelling.

      I typically spend $25-250/nt for the properties, resorts and residences I stay when traveling. (Although, I am also in the Hospitality industry, so I’m far more aware of better deals & tourist traps than most.) Even if I stayed a full year, that’d be $91,250. Easily worth the money, but I think it’s ugly.

    Much larger wardrobe would be required to live in it full time. Inconvenient that there’s no shelf on either side of bed for a glass of water, cellphone, etc. And very little counter space in the kitchen for this big of a rig. Wasted space in living room that could have been used wisely somewhere else.
