I recently popped some 8 year old Jolly Time popcorn which was stored in its original bag in my pantry. I popped it in a similar microwave popper to yours. Almost every kernel popped and it tasted just like I bought it off the shelf the day before. Popcorn is a great prepper item!
I'm 68. And when Orville Redenbacher came out, it really was like gourmet. That older popcorn was probably organic and very much like what I grew up on. (until I was a teenager or so) Great Demo! Where did you find that treasure? 😋😃
Microwave popcorn is chemically treated to handle the heat from the microwave itself. Try making it the old fashioned way as written in the can and it “should” pop up properly!
