Having sung the praises of balsamic vinegar, I wondered if you had come across Aspall's apple balsamic vinegar. Ticks both boxes. Both appley and balsamicy. Unfortunately, I only know of two shops here in the West Riding that sell it. Definitely worth a go. Happy Christmas. C.
