BEST CHICKEN TINGA recipe / how to make easy TOSTADAS ❤

  • This Tinga recipe is amazing, I have prepared it with natural ingredients, you can assemble your tostadas as you wish, your family and friends will be very impressed with the flavor
    INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHICKEN----
    1 MED/LRG BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST
    2 BONELESS CHICKEN THIGHS
    1/2 SMALL ONION
    2 WHOLE ALLSPICE
    1 BAY LEAF
    2 GARLIC CLOVES
    SALT TO YOUR LIKING
    WATER TO COVER CHICKEN
    FOR THE TINGA SAUCE--------------
    4 CHIPOTLE PEPPERS FROM CAN
    5 TOMATOES (about 1 lb diced)
    4 Tbsp ADOBO SAUCE
    1 MEDIUM ONION
    2 BAY LEAVES
    3 GARLIC CLOVES
    1/3 TSP CUMIN
    3 WHOLE ALLSPICE (PIMIENTA GORDA)
    1 TSP OREGANO
    3/4 C. CHICKEN BROTH (as needed)
    5 Tbsp VEGETABLE OIL
    1 tsp CHICKEN BOUILLON
    small bunch chopped cilantro
    1/4 C. water for molcajete
    adjust salt
    TOPPINGS--------
    SHREDDED ROMAINE LETTUCE (or your choice)
    Sour cream (as needed)
    queso fresco (as needed)
    refried beans
    tostadas (handmade or store bought)

    My grandpa was from Mexico and my grandma was Irish. (Not an accepted marriage back then) they were married for 70 years. I'm so happy to find your channel and continue to honor my heritage. 💜 The name of your channel truly expresses you! Love how you say "My Ron" 💜

    If this is too personal of a question, don’t answer it and it won’t bother me. Do you get your cooking skills from just learning how to cook as you grew up or are you a “chef”? You’re easy to follow and I am a newbie cooking Mexican food. I’m old and I’m more of a southern cook. 😂Just trying to change things up a little bit. Thank you. ❤

    I am not an experienced cook so please tell me how long to boil chicken for tacos. I have two large chicken breasts in my fridge so I wanted to make chicken tacos. Do I bring the water to a boil on high and then simmer the chicken? Do I cover the pan? I don’t want the chicken to get dry so I need advice. Thank you!

    I've been watching you for awhile now. I must say you explain your dishes so well. Everything about you is so pleasant, your a joy to watch. If you every make a cookbook I'd sure buy one.

    Not made chicken tinga before, however, I do make fry up my corn tortillas and make chicken tostadas. I have to watch Sodium. You’re such a great cook, I’ve learned so much from your videos. What sets you apart from others you don’t leave steps out. Much appreciated! Thank you.
