    • @dlckddyd76

it was open to public for little while. plus what you're mentioning is that they are gathering info thats already open to public way before openai was even available!! source is not the matter its the AI software they dont want to share with the world!! reason why its not open AI to every public in the planet!!! U.S. probably want their products to be not copied by the mega fake creator country like China!!! to steal software info or anything relating to national security.

@@TettyBoyFloyd It would be best if the United States were to impose a nationwide ban on Deep Seek. That way, Americans would have to use the expensive Close AI, while the rest of the world could enjoy high-performance Deep Seek AI at low or even no cost. Let Americans also learn to use VPNs to bypass restrictions. And, when political means are employed to suppress, it indicates that all other options have been exhausted.

This isn’t about the USA vs. China-it’s about corporate greed (OpenAI) vs. doing something truly meaningful for humanity (open-source and affordable AI). OpenAI has abandoned its founding mission in favor of chasing profits, locking down technology, and creating monopolies.
Instead of delivering accessible tools for the public good, they’re prioritizing VC returns and inflated valuations. The contrast couldn’t be clearer: greed-driven corporations vs. a vision of AI that benefits everyone.

an "all is well" message. wrong message. message should be: " we understand the import of deepseek. we can do that as well, and we can make it massively better". Problem is, if they don't even say it, they've got catching up to do.

Free and open source that you can download locally, refine, release. OpenAI bots are not going to bring in trillions when AI is now open source. OpenAI lost the narrative and is now tap dancing in the dark while everyone gets working on their own stuff, for free.

Complete PR /fluff interview. The interviewer could have asked him in the beginning that isn't open source more aligned to democratic values? It's like she didn't want to ask him a tough question. I don't blame the guest, it's the journalist to blame. Complete softball questions, the type of journalism we see in China.
