Yes, Pune to Mysore can be done in a day's drive but it will be too much and may not enjoy the drive.
We had taken a Halt at Tumakuru which took almost 15 hours of time to reach from Pune including the time we spent at Gol Gumbaz for 2.5 hours.

@@msmittalas There is a plenty of rattling noise in the car however please get the door biddings and dashboard checked. I always escalate noise issue in the service and service centre provides temporary solution as they also don't have permanent that's bitter truth

We didn't get booked room at the hotel we had booked online so we stayed at another Hotel "Hotel Green Valley". It was Okayish and reasonable in terms cost we paid.

Having sufficient CNG stations along the route from Pune to Mysore, especially until you leave Mysore city for Ooty and you barely need to drive on Petrol.
