Then a year and a half after the bite, I was diagnosed with late-stage/neurological/chronic Lyme. I'm now almost nine years post-diagnosis and still disabled from it (though I'm slowly working towards having a little more of a life/hopefully becoming financially independent). my brothers old doctor missed a broken pinky. we went MONTHS without knowing. he finally got surgery when it went really bad. not to mention she also missed pneumonia.
The worst advice I’d even gotten is given pretty often with how frequent and severe my anxiety/panic attacks are. I have been told to “just breathe” or “focus on something else” I’m sorry to break it to you Karen, but when you feel trapped in your own body, and think you’re gonna die, (even though you’ve been through it a million times) it’s kinda difficult to focus on anything else but the thoughts that are causing the spiral in the first place.
The worst advice is when I tell my bf I feel depressed " and she says stop faking it " Who wants to fake something like that . It just make me more sad . when I tell my parents I am anxious or sad they say" you have nothing to be anxious or sad about your only a teen" .
I dunno what you're going through, but here's a universal message that I think everyone should know: YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE, YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT, AND GOD DID NOT PUT YOU ON THIS WORLD TO SUFFER! YOU CAN F---ING GET THROUGH THIS!!!!
So I have a skinny family member and this is what gets said to him: "Do your parents feed you at home?" "You look like a literal stick figure, here have some food!" "What do you mean you're full? Have some more, you obviously need it." "Stop being so picky and eat more." "By the time you leave here, we'll have you fattened up." I get that all of these are not exactly pieces of advice, but I observe them being said each time and I really feel for my family member! It would be really annoying for these things to be said to you.
6:10 i think parents really need to understand this, if their child is getting bullied and trying to cheer them up by saying "If there mean they probably like you" is a bad advice and the child will probably get into a toxic relationship.
I am glad I never got told "don't ever try anything new because you might fail" because I know for a fact that I would have taken that 'advice' just cause of my personality.
"Oh my gosh, just do it! It's not that hard, i'm already done." - My old friend who is not my friend anymore I have ADHD and chronic procrastination, both of which make it hard for me to do things. I have a processing disorder that makes me really sensitive to sound sometimes and the sound can cause anxiety attacks if it’s too loud. One kid in my gym class when I was little would purposefully make the loudest most annoying sounds possible as close to me as he could. I almost had a lot of mental breakdowns and I almost cried so many times. My mom said “he just has a crush on you”. Eventually he chilled out and stopped and apologized for his actions then a few years later he disappeared and I never saw him again. I’m happy me and him stopped being enemies.
“work through the pain it’ll make your back feel better” ughhh tell me why four years ago i fell straight on my bum after trying to rollerblade for the first time. my dad told me this and thought i was over exaggerating after i told him i was in excruciating pain every time i sat or stood for more than 30 minutes. a couple months ago i had to go to the ER cause when i walked my whole lower torso felt like it was being electrocuted (it was something about my nerves). when the doctor took an x-ray they said i had a small fracture in my tailbone, and said it was because of the incident all those years ago, and that i probably had a broken tailbone and all this time it was struggling to heal. thanks dad, love you
When I was younger and was talking to a new employee at work, she asked me if I were going to have children, and I said no, I had decided not to. She said, “Oh, but you should! You’d be such a great mother.” I had known her maybe two weeks. How does she know what kind of mother I’d be?! This is the kind of social pressure women frequently get. People need to just respect someone’s decision. It’s no one else’s business.
@@rominagresely5366 Yes! Or that you’ll change your mind when the “right man comes along”. Nope. Another one that drives me crazy is when they ask, “but what if you meet a man you really like and he wants children?”. I always say if he wants children he’s just going to have to move on to another woman. It’s my body, my decision, not his. And I don’t owe him a baby.
@@kgs2280 yes. Discuss that from the get-go. When I started dating my husband I told him I didn't want children and if he does to move along. But he wanted to be with me and was alright with or without kids. In October we will be celebrating 10 years of marriage. Our 'child' is Persian cat.
When I was a kid, I suddenly got tired all the time no matter how much I slept, could barely eat anything and almost couldn't breath from occasional chest pain. When jerks from school get together to tell the guy that the girl has an interest in you. Then all the kids hearing it and everyone saying "yall will be a good couple" stop it. take a hint and stop it she doesn't like you.
I had a breakdown one day due to a flashback. After I managed to calm myself a bit my brother said, "Move on." Like we went through similar things yet he's seemed to move on from it. Yet I can't even hear the person's name without getting stressed or triggered. Like I've tried moving on. It's not that simple.
My parents specially my dad was feeling insecure about their relationship. Some relatives from my dad's side advice my dad to have a baby and it will be alright. And then they had me. Like I was born according to the outsider's wish and I'm also leading my life according to the outsider's wish. Like I'm a fatty girl so they said me to lose weight and my parents agreed. My parents started to give me pressure about study cause they said I'm the eldest daughter so I've to take responsibility. I want to lose weight and study harder. But at this point, this is becoming their wishes, their expectations.

You may not see it but someone may be crying them selfs to sleep but smile when ever you look don't be that one that complains cuz dad got you pink airpods and not green airpods be the one that tells people if there not seeing what they have be that person that sees the fake smile because we know everyone knows that there hurt but yet nobody helps be that one that says hi because as much as I know a hi can save a life, and a hug can make you cry, if you cry then you won't be the one judged when you crack because yelled "for no reason" or "fake cryed" so people would care.

Yeah, it doesn't always work
The worst advice is when I tell my bf I feel depressed " and she says stop faking it " Who wants to fake something like that .
@@goofusdestroyerofworlds9504 thanks for your message it really sweet 🙃🥺
@@bossiosman9959 Yw!
So I have a skinny family member and this is what gets said to him:
"Do your parents feed you at home?"
"You look like a literal stick figure, here have some food!"
"What do you mean you're full? Have some more, you obviously need it."
"Stop being so picky and eat more."
"By the time you leave here, we'll have you fattened up."
I get that all of these are not exactly pieces of advice, but I observe them being said each time and I really feel for my family member! It would be really annoying for these things to be said to you.
@Flat as a CRACKER!!!! ikr...it fcking hurts...but people also wanna be skinny and go on fcking diets while i just munch on my pizzas, lmao
Istg my family members say that to me all the time like-
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM- JUST SHUT THE HECK UP IT AIN’T THAT HARD 😭
I used to hear this all the time as a kid/teen (still do but less 'cause now I can tell them to f*** off and mind their own bussines)
6:10 i think parents really need to understand this, if their child is getting bullied and trying to cheer them up by saying "If there mean they probably like you" is a bad advice and the child will probably get into a toxic relationship.
*"This woman sounds like a walking red flag"* I think we all loved that!
I am glad I never got told "don't ever try anything new because you might fail" because I know for a fact that I would have taken that 'advice' just cause of my personality.
"Oh my gosh, just do it! It's not that hard, i'm already done." - My old friend who is not my friend anymore
I have ADHD and chronic procrastination, both of which make it hard for me to do things. I also struggle with communicating, and couldn't find a way to voice the fact that I literally couldn't force myself to do the work.
What you don't know won't hurt you....
In the context of backstabbing, sure it can't hurt if you don't know but when you find out, that will be hell.
Backstabbing and/or rumours aren't okay, even if the person doesn't know
when a boy pulled on my mom's braids when she was young - someone said oh he likes her - my grandmom came to school found the boy and took him by the ears and threatened him: if he ever does that again -she wont be going easy on him next time-
Go her! It’s actually so annoying when people are like that. Like, stfu, they don’t, even if they did, they shouldn’t be acting like that. I’ve had my own run-ins with those kinds of situations and it’s so annoying when people start to ship you guys without permission because they were a jerk. Honestly, go grandmom for standing up for her daughter 😀
5:12 I hate this so much. When I suffered with depression and mentioned being suicidal, my brother said suicide is selfish because others have it worse.
Yh people do have it worse doesn't mean that my pain isn't valid you r not inside my mind u can not feel my pain I would never want you to feel my pain
@@reasonstoeatcheese9039 exactly!
There are always others who has it worse than you.
I actually tell this to myself if I get upset over little things, like missing out on nice food because I was in my room 🥺. Sucks to have little piggy siblings but also rewarding other times. But food though... 🤣
My dad: pick a career as a mechanic your always have work and make a lot of money. Thanks dad, I'll work as something I don't enjoy for my life and make between 20-50,000 dollars less then what I want to as a professor.
I’m happy me and him stopped being enemies.
hey where do you get your bear matching clothes? they are adorable!
at the second story lowkey feeling like the coworker is the stalker
0:35 the coworker definitely sent those flowers😭

I agree. I've had that told to me too. Some people told me I can always adopt if I can't have them biologically.
Your videos are the only things I can watch when I can't concentrate. They settle my brain down. 💛💛
''HEY GUYZ SO TODAY WE'RE'' IS SO ICONICCC
"If you smile more they won't be mean to you" it wasn't true
That mother-in-law is giving me single woman vibe
When I was a kid, I suddenly got tired all the time no matter how much I slept, could barely eat anything and almost couldn't breath from occasional chest pain. My mom took my to family doctor who said "There's nothing wrong with her! She'll eat when she's hungry." Next day things got worse and my parents took my to hospital. I was there almost five weeks! It was some kind of pneumonia! I never saw that 'family doctor' again.
This is uploaded on my birthday ❤️
Happy birthday
My mom: “Let’s put ur rabbit outside so I have more space”
He’s a senior rabbit with a single blind eye and I live in the south… Not a good combination at all.
I'm bad at giving advice so every single words that come out my mouth is stupid
0:54 that happend to my grandpa my mum told me we were going to his place but they didn’t tell my when I got there I realized he was gone I entered his place all happy and and after seeing his body in the freezer my heart broke my younger brother was to little to notice what was going on and he kept on tapping on the freezer and told my grandpa to get up and eat something
I miss him a lot
You’re videos always make me feel better
The thumbnail is just so toxic.
2:38 I'm so happy that it says former mil.
3:03 According to 0:39 that's vastly incorrect.
If she tought her son better, he wouldn't hit her.
At random times I physically can’t open my mouth to talk and one day I was with my grandma when this happened and she said “Well just talk”. Thank you I haven’t tried that yet! 🤦♀️
I love her outfit though ^^
When jerks from school get together to tell the guy that the girl has an interest in you. Then all the kids hearing it and everyone saying "yall will be a good couple" stop it. take a hint and stop it she doesn't like you.
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?

my poor brain cells
I had a breakdown one day due to a flashback. After I managed to calm myself a bit my brother said, "Move on." Like we went through similar things yet he's seemed to move on from it. Yet I can't even hear the person's name without getting stressed or triggered. Like I've tried moving on. It's not that simple.
I have always hated people saying, "Someone has it worse than you." Yeah, I know I'm more fortunate than others, but rn I'm sad from this. Let me be.
2:40 who is ok with their son hitting their partner? Glad it's their former mil.
Me questioning why I'm not subscribed yet: 👁️👄👁️

You can actually smile for a driver's license photo, I had my picture taken and they were saying "You know you can smile right?".
The thumbnail: what the hell

@•Lilac_KitKat• haha hiii :))
6:06 i have rsd, doctors literally told me to keep using it. Rsd can spread through your body and you will lose the use of your limbs if you dont...sometimes this is great advice. 14 years strong...
For so long ive never had an account on TH-cam because personal reasons and i finally made an account today and subscribed. You deserve so many more subs! 😦♥️
It was wrong of that person's coworker to say that the person should dump their long term boyfriend and date the stalker. The mother in law is a piece of trash because she never helped the daughter in law. She didn't care that her son was hitting the woman.
1:28 I’d like to believe that if this Reddit post was made recently, this person most likely watches Attorney Tom. It’s almost word for word what he had said in one of his Shorts.
A walking red flag ahahaha
Love your videos!!
Urgent Care is absolute garbage. When my nephew was a baby, he had some form of asthma; my sister took him to Urgent Care once, told them that he was having trouble breathing, and the nurse there told her: "Well, what do you want me to do about that?" 😤😤😤😤😤😤
Hi!
I'm a really big fan of yours!
I really like your video TwT
And I'm surprisingly early!
I like the outfit she wears in this video! Cute!
Ellen saying that she didn't know you can smile in a mug shot:
Me who looks at the magazines at Rite Aid to see who smiled: *huh.*
4:17 that reminds me of Homer Simpson.
You tried and you failed the lesson is never try.
when ellen said walking red flag i immediately thought of nevertheless
Kick it to see if there are anymore bees inside.
Tons of stings later...
Nope, no bees inside anymore
Kyutie kyutie kyutie hope this works
Ugh Dan how could you !!
I'm glad she is a former mil
5:34 my mom always says that to me :(
Her: you know drivers license
Me: I got my drivers license last week just like we always talked about

The squad leaders advice wasn't really dumb, as he could probably pull out a laundry list of girls who cheated on people he knows. It not to uncommon for a gf or wife to have a side piece, when their man is deployed.
Ever heard of post-natal depression? It wouldn't cure your depression it would make it worse
Cousin: why do people commit suicide, I mean why don’t they just be happy?
Me who had a mental breakdown that morning and was up until 2am trying to resist an anxiety attack that inevitably came: b!tch do we need to take this outside rn? I will fight you without hesitation.
Your outfit is so cute!😍😘
Early! I love these videos so much!
My uncle married someone and she changed a week she bossed him around and was rude they divorced and he's with a realy nice lady and she has a 12 foot pool and she's nice
Why humans be like this thats why my mom's dream house is away from human civilization thx mom now i get it-w-
I hope Dan has no friends.
"there is always someone the has it worse than you!" Is a lie if there was ALWAYS a person that had it worse then the people on earth would just never end. NO there will always be one person on earth that has it the worst, there will always be one person on earth that has it the worst and they may be the "happy go lucky" kid everyone looked at and wanted to be. I know that may not help many people but saying that stuff will not as well you don't know how bad someones life is and you can't rate it either someone may be on the streets,no food and no money but has family and friends people that care and someone may have everything a house, nice food and lots of money but not one person cares they have no friends or family and that may be going through worse than the person on the streets.
Kinda early? Also I love these videos lol
