I possess 10 years of IT support experience and 6 months as a DevOps engineer, yet my experience letter states 3 years. Mentioning 1 year of DevOps experience leads to rejections, while 3 years attracts interviews, but I haven't secured a position after attending 500 interviews. Seeking advice on my next steps.

I am currently working as a sys admin with 2.5 years of experience, and I am interested in applying for a DevOps role. Since I am not currently using DevOps tools in my current role, I would like to know if I should be looking for DevOps positions that require 3 years of experience or 1 year of experience ?
You should not look for positions in DevOps and Cloud with zero experience. If you are already working in System Admin you should build small devops projects, gain some quick expereince, may be add some certification under the belt and then start your journey. I have learned devops have good understanding in multiple tools but not getting any calls as i have no experience in devops ,
Someone ask me to show 2 year of devops experience in resume & you will get interview call
But i am afraid without real time experience the interview will be hell
justify the two years
