I buy these Ozark Trail knives every year and have a nice collection of them. The amazing thing about them is I have rarely bought one of their folders that had a non- centered blade. I have bought three of them this year so far and the blade centering on all of them is near perfect. Last year I bought four of those ones with the axis like lock and all were the same. I just bought an American made Klein knife for $64.00 and it has an off centered blade. Bought another and it was the same and it also had a chipped handle. They are going back and I am keeping the Ozark Trails! I am not saying they are better than the Klein or good knives in general, but these days American made does not mean it is a quality product!

Other than their multi-tools I'm impressed with these Ozark Trail knives. I bought one about two months ago and it was evenly ground and centered, and razor sharp (didn't have to even hone it). It shaves hair on my arm and I can free hand slice receipt paper out of the package. It seems to hold an edge well, much better than my harbor freight knife which also need to have it's screws/bolts tightened more than once per week as well.

2 years ago I bought the Keychain knife set for $2 after Christmas, but different design on them. And I own the axis lock, camo and black knife.those are my favorite. I got rid of the rainbow knife and I wish I didn't, oh well it will be back again. Our walmarts here in Decatur illinois have no ozark trail knives except the brass and white folding knife and a part serrated black knife..

Nice review. The shaft-lock looks like an economy copy of a Benchmade design. Thumbs up!

Got an axis lock which is what that green one is (not shaft lock that's something else😉) and a wood scaled lockback. Like them both. 5 bucks each can't beat that.

It’s hard to beat $5 for a knife.

@@thelefthandedshooter99 Everyone in the forums loves that green one and I got the black handle one with a 3" blade. I have Cases and Bucks, but I am currently carrying the Ozark Trail. Never had an axis lock and 5 bucks makes it worth trying. Now I know I like that style, I may get a Benchmade.

The red and mossy oak pocket knives there are great the index flipper is bad ass! I carry a tan variant of the red one it's a good all-around beater !!! Cheers

The one with the red plastic scales has a fliipper tab made to deploy the blade, not to close it.

Nice overview!! I have been EDC-ing the green axis lock and the red plastic flipper since Dec. I have more capable/durable/$$$ knives, but still the ergos & light weight on these OT knives make them preferable for daily carry, moderate duty use. The omega spring broke on the axis lock so I bought a second one for spare parts. The red plastic flipper shown here is the 2022 model. The 2021 version is olive-sand with a rubber grip coating. That ones my fave but its hard to find in store. Both 22' and 21' flippers have a ball bearing pivot with strong detent that makes very fast action. 2 Ounces and 3 inch blade, good weight to capability. All these OT knives needed some good fidget-time and break-in. Out of box they are rough, "crude" feeling, not smooth at all. They were all dull too... 10 minutes on ceramic rods and a green-strop gives them new life. The 90 degree spines are sharp enough to strike a ferro rod and dry-scrape fine kindling for fire-starting... decent tight budget backups to a primary scout knife.

Many places have laws against blades longer than 3.5 or 3 inches, so the similar sizes on all of these is probably calculated to be legal everywhere.

Ozark Trail knives are hit or miss. Some of their knives are pretty good. And some are just junk. At times Ozark Trail knives can be like gas station junk knives. Let's go Brandon 😆

@@thelefthandedshooter99 exactly for $5.00 or $6.00 dollars Ozark Trail knives are good knives. And if you lose an Ozark Trail knife or if it breaks you are not out whole lot of money. Ozark Trail knives are good to take camping or hunting. But I definitely would not take something like a Spyderco knife that costs like $200.00 dollars or more hunting or camping.
