- My experience with E-Infinity. After spending £2500, did I receive my items, or did it all go down the drain?
So what is E-Infinity? They’re a grey market website that photographers use to buy brand new camera bodies and lenses and a much cheaper price than retail. Sounds great, right? Well there’s a few things to consider before you go throwing your money at them. And that’s exactly what we’ll go over in this video.

Been using e-infinity for over 5 years now. During this time I purchased 2 drones, 3 cameras and 5 lenses. Never had any issues with them. If you are a person who likes to keep your gear up to date, buying from them will save you lots of money. Re-selling used gear initially purchased from them is also great. On most occasions I got back what I paid after using the gear for 1-2 years.
That’s a really good point about reselling! Considering you’ll be buying equipment for a few hundred less, and that’s usually what happens when you sell second hand, it makes complete sense you’d break even. And thank you for your comment! At the start of 2020 I ordered a R5, I received my order confirmation and was promised I would receive further updates however as covid struck my R5 seemed to have vanished and I was convinced I had lost all my money! Thankfully in June I received tracking details and to my surprise it arrived the following week!
I think E-infinity is good for beginner photographer who don’t want to spend the extra money but it can be a scary time waiting for your beloved parcel to arrive!

I’m so glad you got your R5 in the end! 100% a scary experience when you’re risking so much money. The key thing to remember with this company is that patience is key. Luckily they’re pretty decent when it comes to communication so I was always kept in the loop. Thank you for watching and looking forward to uploading more!
Spend probably over £30k on efinity now.
The issue is that now sony is starting to lock grey cameras to NTSC only on the latest firmware, basically making them useless in the UK :( Specially as some new cameras will come already with latest firmware.
I just received my Sony ARV, and a lens, (4000 EURO), no issues at all, delivery time took 14 working days as expected, the tracking number was provided after 4 business days since the purchase. It is good store.

Nice video! I think I'll try my luck and get a Nikon ZF from them, since is 500€ cheaper than in local stores here. I have a question, though: for cameras that contain a battery charger such as the Canon R6, do they send the chargers with the right plug for your specific country? Thank you
They will send it with an adaptor :)
I ordered 2 lenses from E-Inifinty and they were ok. Then recently I ordered a Canon camera. Unfortunately it had defects and the autofocus didn't work properly. The box wasn't sealed either. I contacted the support and I sent the camera back as requested at my own expense. The repair process should take 4-12 weeks. 18 weeks have now passed. The camera is still not there. After several unanswered questions, I was repeatedly put off, sometimes with copied text answers. I no longer receive any answers to my queries.
Thank you for your comment. From my own experience and research, people seem to have the most problems with E-Infinity when it comes to returns and repairs. Did you pay for tracking when you sent the package back to them?
@@MatthewGPhotography Update: Fortunately, after about 5.5 months I have now received my camera. They contacted me that something was wrong with the lens group and asked me to pay another 100 EUR based on their warranty policy, as half of the spare parts have to be paid by the buyer. I did so because I wanted to give it another chance. The camera was indeed repaired. Everything works as it should. The process was long and slow. I wouldn't want to go through it again. Nevertheless, I'm happy that everything worked out in the end.
If they forget to send you the tracking number you can send an email to the support requesting it. In my case this happened.They responded to my mail after 10 minutes, providing all the shipping information.All the orders inside European Union are shipped from France not Hong Kong.

What did you buy?
Bought a Sony ZV-E10 since it was the only website still selling the white version. Same steps (photo of the camera box, etc) and they disappeared for almost 3 weeks. I needed it for a job and so I bought a black one on Amazon for 14€ less (it went down during all that time) and pointed it at my bank. Today they sent me shipment confirmation and told me to reject the shipment tomorrow, but they also said that I need to talk with my bank for the refund. That’s crazy, cause if I refuse the shipment I’ll be in the first 14 days and with all rights to have my money back. Bad experience at the moment, hoping in the next days it will be solved.

Bit of an annoying question, but did they provide a formal receipt?
Need a receipt to be able to add the camera I want to buy to my camera insurance, and I have no way of knowing if they provide it without buying something. Would be a life saver if you knew!
Hey! So the emails you get from them are an order acknowledgement, order processed and an order shipped email. I believe it’s in the order acknowledgement that provides the receipt. This shows the item bought, the serial number and the cost. Hope that helps :)

I have to admit that I'm also thinking about a Nikon Z8. Especially as we're not talking about a €3/400 difference, but a €1300 difference with the French price... The difference is just gigantic.

@@MatthewGPhotography Mea culpa, that's even a €1,400 difference. The product on Nikon France is €4600 including VAT.
If I add the French VAT, I'll still save €800.
You'll have to explain to me how the French VAT can be €800 more expensive than the Hong Kong VAT ^^.
What is the story with import duties from them?
I had no fees from any imports. So what I paid for was the total

2018. and 2019. I ordered from e-infinity 4-6 photography items (camera, lenses). All was OK. I ordered on this monday fuji camera and lens, and I am really afraid for my order. I did not understund, did you get R6 or not?
Yes. As stated in the video, I got my R6 and now use it to record these videos. If you made your order on Monday, you should have at least received an email acknowledging your order?

Not at all trashing the website. Just making the point that the products are from Hong Kong so you don’t get any warranty with canon. The only warranty you get is with EInfinity which means waiting potentially weeks or even months to get your product back after sending it to them.
In my experience, I’ve had a decent time with EInfinity. But if you read reviews online, not everyone has been that lucky. Hence why I warn people of the potential dangers of buying from the grey market. So I wouldn’t class this video as “odd”. Personally, I’ll keep buying from EInfinity until they give me a reason not to

Having worked for a while in US, buying tech there then returning to UK I have a selfish interest in this answer.
I'm so disappointed in the video, I understand you were concerned about buying from e-infinity but this is completely unnecessary. Even from the thumbnail and title suggesting that you'd been robbed, hoodwinked and cheated by them was a means to garner views
A waste of my time and 7.13, I'll never get back because you failed to acknowledge and do the necessary due diligence that it was coming from China 🇨🇳.

I’ve just ordered the Canon r3 from them.. £4000… received the photo of my item today. See what happens ehy, I have spent a good couple grand with them prior but always some kind of stress
Congrats on the big order! I’ve heard the R3 is a beast of a camera. There will always be some level of stress but if you thought you weren’t going to get it, you wouldn’t have ordered!

Took them a while to send my tracking information, but once in the hands of DHL the expected delivery date was a Tuesday and it actually came a day earlier!

Only great experiences. I saved thousands of euro for all my sony gear. And the shipment was so fast. 5-7 days to germany.
7 days delivery is amazing. It’s definitely taken longer to get to me in the UK, but so far no problems
