So modest in Kates approach, but she never wanted celebrity she just wanted to have recognition for her artistic work and boy did she get it. Celebrity never interested her she wanted to just be recognised as a distinctive bona fide talent. She got my respect instinctively as a young kid hearing her amazing vocals on the radio. I was transfixed from the moment I first heard her in the early 80s hearing Wuthering Heights. No superlatives but yes very amazing for me.
@@johnbonner258 John, Kate played a sold out 22 night residency in London in 2014 and all tickets sold out in under 15 minutes. There was huge press coverage at the time. Kate has released 3 new studio albums since 1993, plus a 're-imagining' of much of her work from HOL onwards in her Director's Cut recordings in 2011. Kate is not the sort of artist who releases work by numbers; her work is quaiity and I'd personally rather have tht over quantity any day. Sure, all her fans would love to have more frequent albums, but that's not the way she works. She was also raising her son from 1998, without the help of nannies and other staff, so she was somewhat preoccupied. But we still got the glorious 'Aerial' in 2005. The first decade of her working life was amazingly busy and she barely had time to sit down. She was made a CBE in 2013 in recognition for her work in music.
I love how intelligent the conversation is.
She's so wonderful.
She's a wonder 😉
Thank !)
She is really lovely. No one would suspect she's a super genius. I'm glad she works in music. Otherwise she might be Lex Luthor..

She's such a lovely woman!
She is so cute, so adorable, and these are not vain words. Kate B. is a fabulous artist, she is the genius. Jck

WOW those glasses! So 70's!
I totally agree!
Think it was Lindsay Kemp who also taught Bowie mime.

does somebody have the full parody video? I'd kill to watch it...
Love you Kaye baby, whatever you say ❤️
Steve Jones-- the original TV one-----legend!!
Only Steve Jones I know is the badass from a small band called the sex pistols.
Kate is one sweet hottie.
Sounds like david beckham...
Anyone sane should be able to laugh at themselves.
Sorry but the Faith Brown parody is just not funny at all. Kate was being far too complimentary!.
I think she didn’t want to be perceived as too serious or a killjoy. I agree that the parody was just painfully unfunny stuff.
I don't think she really enjoyed that Faith Brown send-up,...
seemed to damn it with faint praise.
Damn that parody was bad....but I think even doing a good parody of Wuthering heights is difficult.
If James Brown was The hardest working man in showbiz then Kate Bush has to be the laziest woman in showbiz
Really? Then you don't know much about Kate.
she hasn't toured since 1978 and made 2.5 albums since 1991. not exactly prolific as Paul Weller is she?
