Don't know if you know this, but in the Tribute room jump up on the walls where you see white butterflies to uncover a SECRET spirit. You get insanely powerful blessings from this spirit.
The rifts only appear between two combat rooms and the rewards are those combat rooms rewards. Launcher is the best way knock them out unless you are close to the edge of the rooms or really have done a lot.of.dmg to them.
Dan, maybe try to use your Up Launcher on Rifts (this weapon's launchers at the best ones for rifts from all weapons too), or try to look at what side is nearer, normally the ceiling is easier than sides, and try to use launcher instead of only using attacks. Also, remember you can use launchers in the air, even if they're not charged, they will still throw the enemy further than most normal attacks.
I have unlocked a few of the duo boons and a lot of them aren't amazing. I think with some of them you have to be all in on either one of the two gods or those two gods mainly to get the best use out of the duo boons. Side note, the codex does tell you what you need in order to get the duo boon but only if you have taken the required Boon before in a previous run otherwise it will be a bunch of question marks under which Boon you need.
Answering about the dog miniboss, they changed it so if you defeat it you gain one of each meta-progression currency, so now it's great to fight it when you're still grinding the unlocks. About what you say of platforms being so close together, you need to remember that in this game you can dash both downwards and diagonally downwards, I think the movements has been thought with that in mind, and you're not that supposed to just press A + down to move between them, I do find them a bit annoying at some times not gonna lie haha
great video, thanks Dan! Those clutch moments where so entertaining ahaha! The first rift you did made me realize the one thing I don't like about the combat, and it is the interactions your character has with other models. In Smash you stop when hitting another character, you don't just float through them, if you hit them like in this game. Does that make any sense? I mean you do have nice feedback when you hit the enemy, but at the same time your character just floats through them. I can't put it quite into words, and I still love the game, but I wished it would behave differently, when you hit other models.
Dan Dan Dan..... What was that first rift...lmao... From what I can gather from those rifts is only one appears in each area and in the clear space between a split path. Slight back seating coming up hope you don't mind: As for the actual fight it's the same as playing smash bros or brawlhalla. Build up damage and then use your launcher. You could have beaten the second enemy easily if you had of built up a bit of damage first and then used it. And the rewards are what's on either side of the rift from what I can gather Loving spirtfall remember watching you play it during the early access. It has a great feeling to it. Would love to see you play more.
Yeah this weapons launchers are the easiest for rifts, you literally just have to launch them up three times and you win every single rift@@lucasbgabriel1441
I've beaten stray souls 10 and can tell you, aside from it being really hard, the best synergy that really helps is Sharbora and Mishveds. The shield break and healing really helps on the higher difficulties when healing is sparse and breaking shields is tough.
Hey loving all the spiritfall content recently. Wanted to gently remind you that using the term spirit animal is disrespectful of its Native American origins

Thx I was wondering where to get that achievement! :D
Dan - Picks launcher-focused specialty.
Also Dan - Doesn't use launcher in rifts and wonders why they can recover.

him not using the launcher, on probably the best weapon for rifts, made me CRAZY
Launchers are made for rifts to easily knock out the enemy ....he barely uses them

I find it funny how dan has completely ignored the existence of sweet spots and thought up and down air were terrible because of that XD
That boss was a great show of your skills when you went into phase 2.
Primed power is super good on those gauntlets because the ground side combo is just 2 hits.
Had that on one run and ended up dealing 600-700 dmg crits
i just got this game & it’s awesome but i’m so bad at it lmao
Btw for the rift you have killing moves
try to climb the wall before sacrifice anything in the sacrifice room...
15 minutes ago haelian im your biggest fan i swear
That first rift made me stop watching. I don't think Danny ever played Smash bros :rofl
