    I think they reccomend applying the glue right after the primer within 5 seconds or something for best adhesion.

      @@kee7678 wow forgot about this video. It turned out great and is a lot easier than I thought. Hint: 1. don’t over glue. Use 3 dots middle and ends and use glue tip to spread across the vane. 2. Practice on a few times trying to copy the vane placement from an arrow you current have. If you don’t pay attention ( how you put it on and we’re it’s placed in the clip)you may end up with vanes that don’t line up at all or just one will be place a little further up the shaft. Other than those it’s a little trial and error. But you’ll master it in a few times, I promise.

    well, I got in a pack of the 2.75 Drivers, the Tac pen and glue .. Ive been fletching arrows for over 20 yrs and these damn things SUCK to fletch .. PERIOD !! .. one out of 3 vanes, the rear refuses to stay down, or the vane does not fully adhere ... I rough up my GT Velocitys with brown scotch brite, wipe with denatured alcohol as I always do ... I used a Grayling jig/right helical (similar to a Bitz) ... apply the pen and glue as demonstrated by Lancaster or the Levi vid.... NOPE !! .. tried applying a little pressure, NOPE !! .. I even tried backing off the degree of helical.. NOPE !! ... these things would be better with a wider base like a Blazer or GT Fusion 2.75 which I just ordered ... I'm done with these damn things, until they widen the base, if they widen the base ...... my advice to those wanting the Tacs ... get another brand !! ... what a waste of over $40... at least with Blazers and the GT 2.75 Fusion's, I'll be able to use my AZ Mini Max which puts on a great Helical ..... smh ...

    any tips for using a AZ Mini Max jig >> .....I like the helical it puts on vanes and have always used one for my Blazers and Heat vanes .....well, I got 'em in, and with an EZ Fletch, the vane w/ the Shield cut will drift to far to the rear when the vane is in the slot, so they wont work .. that dosnt happen with a Blazer style which has a normal rear of the vane to stop it from sliding to far back .. I'll use my right helical Grayling jig for the Tac's ..

    • @pjreilly3997
      @pjreilly3997 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jerry...for this video we used arrows with wraps. In reality, the only difference between wraps and no wraps is wiping the bare shafts with denatured alcohol. On my own social pages (Facebook and Insta) I recently posted where I fletched with TAC vanes on 6 Black Eagle PS23s, putting the vanes directly on the shafts without wraps. I had no issues with adhesion there either. All I did was clean the shafts with denatured alcohol and then followed the same steps shown in this video. Vanes stuck like iron.....

    Ok folks. You don't NEED the expensive cleaner or adhesive. Try using 91% or better alcohol and wipe the vane base and the arrow shaft well. I use Gorilla brand "instant" adhesive. I very very seldom have a vane come off. I've done this on many different brands of vanes and it just works.
