Thank you so much for this series. We just picked up an 11 week old sheepadoodle. I don’t believe he had been socialized much. He is very shy and even growled at our other dogs when we introduced them. I look forward to watching your videos on puppy training. If you have any advice on socializing him I would really appreciate it. We travel a lot with our dogs and will be meeting many new people and dogs. Thanks again!!
Hello, Jim I think the information and your approach is very good for me, my family, and our new 8 week old saint bernard, Kyrie. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm so glad I found your videos!
Your puppy series is right on time! We're picking up our Goldendoodle at the end of the month. I haven't had a puppy for 15 years so I need all the training I can get. lol!
We have a 10 month old Brittany. This is the 4th Brittany we have had so expected the high energy however she's the smartest, highest energy one I've ever seen. Learns super fast in most areas. We are having trouble breaking her of stealing items and running trying to get us to chase her. Usually a sock or dish towel. It used to be if we didn't chase, she'd just give up the game and leave the item. Now she's hitting a very difficult age and she's a ferocious chewer. She'll chew up whatever she's taken if we can't get it back right away. It's an endless game of chase. How do we change our behavior so the dog changes her's? She gets lots of exercise, we play a long game of fetch with her every day outside, we do training with her everyday to learn tricks and manners.
I appreciate your training videos, we live in the country on 50 acres and we've got a real problem with coyotes (three cats taken in the past week). We are getting a great pyrenees puppy soon. The puppy will be a family pet but also help deter the coyotes from getting so close to our home. I have a question about training a puppy. Due to my job I travel a week or more each month. With other dogs I am generally the primary trainer but can two people take turns training a puppy? Since I am gone a week at a time can my wife take up the training when I'm gone? How do we best handle this?
Jim, I really appreciate you creating this playlist. REAL TIME with a real puppy! Thanks. Your new friend in Murphy, NC!
I need to add more videos. I am going to try to add more this fall. Thank you.
Thank you for this puppy series. I'm going through your videos. Great teaching. And thank you for actually showing us the how-to and why.
Glad you like them!
