What is Scenario Paintball? This is Scenario Paintball! [ION, D-Day, Euro BG, Battle Royale] 2019

Scenario paintball is a version of the game of paintball that includes missions, objectives, role-playing and more. Scenario games are created using storylines from movies and video games and are sometimes recreations of actual events like D-Day, the Civil War, etc. There are hundreds of scenario games held each year around the world and they are played by people of all ages, young and old. This genre of the game is usually played over the course of a weekend and often includes camping on-site, family activities and a laid back atmosphere. Popular scenario games include Oklahoma D-Day, Invasion of Normandy (ION), Living Legends and Supergame to name a few.

So much of the history behind the early days, I mean the really early days of scenarios is lost to the fog of time. True 24 hour events in Ocala as well as some mega events in California led to even larger events which took place at Skirmish and Wyandotte. At their height opposing sides employed computers and high tech radio communications, along with prior military training cadre to help instruct players. Maps and yes even spotter aircraft and helicopters, both simulated as well as real ones brought about events which left players begging for more. So much more to tell, scenarios hosted by the military as well as others which served as military training exercises demonstrated just how effective paintball could be in teaching soldiers how to be more effective when facing a real enemy instead of just paper targets.
