If she could see your reaction, Adogg, she would be so chuffed.who could want a better reaction, your rapt expression. Such a compliment to any artist.
I saw her in 1984, 2nd row, 15,000 venue - that presence, that voice there was nothing more you could do than stand there with your mouth open, spellbound. She's absolutely mesmerizing.
♥ Be sure to check out her work with Eurythmics! Annie Lennox has been named "The Greatest White Soul Singer Alive" by VH1 and one of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone. In 2012, she was rated No. 22 on VH1's 100 Greatest Women in Music. In June 2013 the Official Charts Company called her "the most successful female British artist in UK music history". As of June 2008, including her work with Eurythmics, Lennox had sold over 80 million records.
All of the Eurythmics songs/Annie Lenox sound so good and have all their albums. I love to see young people listening to the music I fell in love with!
Love your genuine reactions, keep it up my man. Annie is truly great. It was actually written by a band called the "the lovers speak" which toured with Annie during her time with Eurythmics. Great also.
Dude...I completely get your appreciation for Annie Lennox. There is nobody like her. She is special in the way that Janis Joplin was...a total original, nothing like her before or since. Annie's material is high art, way beyond mere "pop" music. Her vocal ability, songs, music, and videos are fantastical, magical, theatrical, baroque masterpieces. You have to see the video THERE MUST BE AN ANGEL PLAYING WITH MY HEART. Very theatrical production and the singing is EPIC.
Annie Lennox is Scottish from Aberdeen, very accomplished musician and song writer. She was part of a band Eurythmics and has had a very very successful solo career. Have a shuftie at Missionary man & would I lie to you they will blow your mind.
You can't go wrong with Annie Lennox. Prior to her solo career she sang for the Eurythmics. Sweet Dreams (are made of this) Here Comes the Rain Again Love is a Stranger Would I Lie to You Cold Little Bird Broken Glass
For ultimate sass, try ‘I need a man’ or ‘Would I lie to you?’ A alternate video to ‘Little Bird’ was her performance at the London Olympics which showcased her dramatic side. She is truly an amazing artist.
Love your Reaktion so much❤️❤️❤️Annie Had a Classic Opera singing education AS far AS i know...thats why she has such a beautiful voice either very Low and very high! Love from Germany
This is bringing back memories ….love Annie! ❤ Something sad & haunting about this one, like her song Why. Others: Sweet Dreams, Would I Lie To You, There Must Be An Angel, Walking on Broken Glass, Thorn in my Side- to name a few. ❤
Annie Lennox had a great run of hits with EURYTHMICS, as part of a duo which included David A. Stewart. From 1981-1989 they released an album a year, except 1988. They reformed briefly in 1999-2000 after a decade long break. Their best work was done together in my opinion. You're right, she can definitely sing and duetted with Aretha Franklin on 1985s "Sisters Are Doin' It (For Themselves). Here's a list of their "Greatest Hits" and some personal favourites: LOVE IS A STRANGER, SWEET DREAMS (ARE MADE OF THIS), HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN, RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE, WHO'S THAT GIRL?, SEXCRIME-1984, WOULD I LIE TO YOU?, THERE MUST BE AN ANGEL (PLAYING WITH MY HEART), SISTERS ARE DOIN' IT (FOR THEMSELVES), IT'S ALRIGHT (BABY'S COMING BACK), WHEN TOMORROW COMES, THE MIRACLE OF LOVE, MISSIONARY MAN, THORN IN MY SIDE, YOU HAVE PLACED A CHILL IN MY HEART, I SAVED THE WORLD TODAY, I'VE GOT A LIFE. Some great lesser known Eurythmics songs: JENNIFER, FOR THE LOVE OF BIG BROTHER, I LOVE YOU LIKE A BALL & CHAIN, CONDITIONED SOUL, SHAME, SYLVIA, LIFTED and FOREVER. The two songs you've listened to so far are from Annie's solo career post 1990 when Eurythmics had unofficially broken up. I suggest you take a deep dive into her debut album DIVA (1992) it's a wonderful record from start to finish, aside from WHY - I really like MONEY CAN'T BUY IT, COLD and THE GIFT. From her follow-up album of covers, 1995s MEDUSA, I'd recommend "A Thin Line Between Love & Hate", "Train In Vain" and "A Whiter Shade Of Pale". From 2003s BARE album, "A Thousand Beautiful Things" and "Pavement Cracks". From 2007s SONGS OF MASS DESTRUCTION album "Womankind" and "Big Sky" are stand out tracks for me.
It's not just her voice. It's her eyes, her big smile which she uses brilliantly and then there's the emotion and energy in her voice. She's captivating and memorizing. She walks a fine line of sexuality. You never know what to expect and that's just part of her charm. Watch some interviews with her. She's an icon and a true master of her craft! One of my personal favorites is A Whiter Shade of Pale.
I remember hearing this song as a kid in the 90s and just stopping what I was doing and listening to it. It’s so interesting and intricate it grabbed my attention and made me really listen to what was going on in it. The same with the video, which I didn’t see until a number of years later: it’s so visually entertaining you can’t help but watch it all the way through.
It seems as though Annie communicates Seminole moments of a souls spiritual growth and rebirth through events in life. I don't know, but I think that is the reason they hit me emotionally. True artistry.
TH-cam knew it should show me any Annie Lennox reaction. Now subscribed. A favorite of mine is No Hurt No Pain No Broken Hearts. It will not get blocked, I'm sure, cuz the fan-made videos have not been blocked. I like the one with the doll with orange hair. This song has gorgeous vocals.
I love watching younger generations discover pure genius. The Queen of Scotland, Annie Lennox. "I love you. I love you, too." This song is all about the inability or no longer wanting to reply, "I love you, too." The rivers ran dry.
Definitely "Sweet Dreams are made of this" when she fronted Eurythmics. For her solo work, her voice is especially showcased in "Little Bird" and "Love song for a vampire".. But the woman is such an incredible talent.. Her entire catalogue is worth discovering
Another one to hear and see: "Must be talking to an Angel". "Would I lie to You?" She has a large catalog for you to enjoy, all with entertaining and interesting videos. She never disappoints.
Annie came across this song when the band The Lover Speaks opened for the Eurythmics and she thought it was a small piece of genius. The scene she is setting it in is a French bordello btw!
Cold, Walkling on Broken Glass, Little Bird, Love Song for a Vampire, Money Can't Buy It, Precious, Keep Young and Beautiful... Basically her entire album, Diva. And all her hits with the band Eurythmics, too.
Long time fan of Annie, and before that the Eurythmics(best new artist U.S. 1984, Nominated for rock and roll hall of fame in 2017) Glad to see you enjoy such a talented artist. Some of her earlier work; Missionary Man, Love is a stranger, Sweet Dreams
Hey man. Annie Lennox is a genius. Her voice is unique and for me the best in the world. please listen to two songs. Don't ask me, why. And,A Finn line between love and hate. I'm looking forward to your reaction.🤣🤣🤣👋🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I saw Eurmitics (Annie Lennox) live many moons ago and boy her vocal range is out of this world. I was almost at the front and I really thought she was going to blast me across the auditorium to the back. You literally have to hold on for dear life because her range is out of this world.
I rediscovered this song recently and it's simply addictive to listen to, especially how that violin is playing on the bridge and the song picks up it's momentum afterwards. Being in a sense "post-love" myself (where "I loves yous" mean nothing today but in the context of first love or a love relationship it mean something), I am beginning to click with the meaning of the song. Break-ups and/or seperations can be very brutal sometimes and facing the harsh reality afterwards that the fairytale and love is all gone. I didn't see this song that way before and now like it allot more. (thought it was some crazy occult song because of the reference of demons and monsters and the haunting way Annie sung it. It didn't feel that haunting when the original guys put it together and could pass as just a wierd 70s carry-over into the 80s tune. She delivered this in a much more richer, haunting, and vibrant way as a cover than the original artists!)
Dude. You are so awesome! Keep up the great diverse conent and genuine reactions. You have such a open mind. So fun to watch and listen. It's like I'm listening to this masterpiece for the first time. 🎶💕
her former band, the Eurythmics, were known for their fun, odd videos, and Annie carried that over to her solo career. My fav songs from her are Savage (Eurythmics) and Wait in Vain. Also love Cold
I have loved Annie since her Eurythmics days. I'm surprised you don't know who she is, I thought she was known internationally. She's been around since the 70's.
Love song for a vampire is one of my favourites by Annie, but then again anything by her is gold, fool on the hill at fhe george harrison tribute is also amazing
I just realised how beautiful this song is!
Annie Lennox is a legend in every song she has done is nothing short of a masterpiece but this song right here truly showcases her talent
True...
Annie is Scottish and we are so proud of her. A unique and instantly recognisable voice. I've grown up with her fantastic songs. Love her.
As you should be!!!!😄😄😄

Do her duet with Aretha Franklin - Sisters are doing it for themselves. 2 powerhouses 🔥🔥
Sou do Brasil e adoro o seu trabalho no TH-cam, só gostaria que você colocasse a legenda
If she could see your reaction, Adogg, she would be so chuffed.who could want a better reaction, your rapt expression. Such a compliment to any artist.
She was a classically trained opera singer before she did any of this. Thats why her voice is so incredible.
Look for Eurythmics, Annie is the singer, songs Sweet Dreams and There Must Be An Angel.
I was a teenage when this came out. I think this is definitely one of the greatest ever cover’s.
I saw her in 1984, 2nd row, 15,000 venue - that presence, that voice there was nothing more you could do than stand there with your mouth open, spellbound. She's absolutely mesmerizing.

Cold. It is amazing. It took my breath away.
All of the Eurythmics songs/Annie Lenox sound so good and have all their albums. I love to see young people listening to the music I fell in love with!
This production of this song is befitting of the message and vocals- a masterpiece
Check out her song Cold , and eurythmics “would I lie to you” that shows another side of her
Cold is the best song of her's IMO
Yes, Cold!
I agree Derek, definitely "Cold" just to hear the control in her voice and also "when tomorrow comes"
WOW! Thank you for playing that...it's definitely my favourite Annie Lennox tune. :)
Love your genuine reactions, keep it up my man. Annie is truly great. It was actually written by a band called the "the lovers speak" which toured with Annie during her time with Eurythmics. Great also.

Not only has she a superb voice, she's a consummate actress. Truly a fabulous performer.

Her first band was actually The Tourists.

Broken glass is my all time favorite by her!
"Money" and "Legend in My Living Room" which are both off the same album as "Why". That album "Diva" is one of my top 5 albums of all time.

Annie always said being a mom was way more scary than standing alone on The Royal Albert Hall stage or in the biggest arena! 🥰 MommysRule
Моя любовь Annie Lennox! Одна из самых лучших исполнителей XX-XXI веков!

It is a brilliant song for its time and how she expresses the lies of that time.

Her Waiting in Vain version is golden. Have a listen. 👂🏻
Love song for a Vampire, from the Bram Stoker's Dracula soundtrack. Beautiful song from Annie x
