    Velociraptor were basically large turkeys. 25kg is actually on the heavy side all told. The ones in Jurassic Park were modelled on other raptor species. In reality, Utahraptors are probably closet to what is portrayed in the film!

      Indeed. a Utah Raptor is what the ones in the movie were based on; a Velociraptor is closer to what the movies showed as the compsognathus; it was about 1.8 meters *LONG* (as in: nose to tail tip), but only about a foot and a half tall, hence the light weight.
      A Utahraptor, for comparison, was about 1.5 meters *tall*, and 6 meters long, and weighed somewhere around 500 kilos.

      Just for accuracy, Jurassic Park velociraptors were based off Deinonychus.

    Just BINGED watched these vids---I had a flood---ground floor duplex in an old brownstone, too close to the Hudson---and was certain about ten grand worth of footwear was destroyed forever---After I watched I few of these vids and saw what you guys can do, I realized that they were absolutely salvageable and found a reputable shoemaker who restored all of them---extraordinary---not prohibitively expensive either---also made a 30 year old pair of loafers look almost new...

    If you've got problems (grip, pain) with your precision screwdriver I can only suggest getting the iFixit Marlin Screwdriver Set or Driver Kit Set (Available in different sizes). Those are way more comfortable than the generic ones.

    • @paulf2529
      @paulf2529 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wera do some really nice precision screwdrivers also or you could try some optical stainless Steel ones with ball bearing spinners.
      The I fix is a good suggestion as you have multiple size options.

    Velociraptors were about the size of a large turkey, the monsters in Jurassic Park were made up by Steven Spielberg, but a species was discovered shortly after the filming that was named Utahraptor and is similar in size to Spielberg's vision.

    Yeah google was correct on that one Velociraptors were essentially the size of a large wolf and they believe they did hunt in packs to bring down other larger dinosaurs so they'd still be quite dangerous but probably wouldn't have looked very menacing on a movie screen if they showed their actual size

    Fun Fact..One early automotive tire actually had some lettering for tread so it would leave behind its name wherever it went but was more of a novelty. It would be a hoot if a replacement heel sole had dinosaur print do it look like you were being followed by one or even an animal print as well. Once an inventive thieves made forms for there boots to look like they were being left by the cows they were stealing as if they just walked away...😀

    Fun fact: velociraptors were highly likely feathered. This serves as evidence of how birds are essentially modern-day dinosaurs.

    You could also snap the spinning piece off of the back of those kind of screwdriver so you can stick them in your drill driver. I've done it before lol.

  • @sadlerbw9
    @sadlerbw9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dan, every time I see you using those tiny little screwdrivers it makes my hands hurt in sympathy! Take some of that TH-cam money and get yourself a better screwdriver! For those M2 screws, I believe you will be looking for a PH1 phillips driver. I would suggest something with a larger/thicker handle so you get better torque and better control over just how tight you are making them. It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, just something that fills your hand more. The whole point of those skinny little screwdrivers you have now is to limit how hard you can twist so you don't over-tighten delicate little screws in a laptop, phone, or something like that. For what you are doing, they are just making your life more difficult!
    Oh, and if you are going to do Annabelle dirty like that, you've got to give her a chance to clap back! If she is nice enough to put up with your dinosaur dad-jokes, you owe her at least that much.
