“Some people feel guilty about their anxieties and regard them as a defect of faith. I don't agree at all. They are afflictions, not sins. Like all afflictions, they are, if we can so take them, our share in the Passion of Christ”
Some people believe that Christians who suffer from depression are not saved or caused by sin or lack of faith.
Having it caused by sin would be much easier. But this is in fact not true.
Here are a couple of resources.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough how much I appreciate your vulnerability, or how important your testimony is to the body of Christ. Thank you for speaking on a topic that has been shunned and demonized by the Christian community for generations - there is hope if we can first be honest. Thank you.

God bless you brother I’m praying for you. I struggled with depression and anxiety for years and Jesus Christ freed me from the bondage of the enemy. This transformation doesn’t always happen overnight it is a continual process, God is always working through us. But believe me Jesus changes and sets free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! God allows us to go through things for a reason, God has put you in this opportunity to probably minister to others suffering through the same thing.

I understand that maybe you’ve been diagnosed or you are currently going through depression. I completely understand what your going through because I went through it but Jesus set me free. Here is what I’ve learned is that we shouldn’t claim or accept that suffering over our life but instead rebuke it. Making a home for the enemies oppression in our life can become very destructive because you haven’t understood that the enemy is seeking how to devour especially those who follow Christ. As Christians we are not supposed to willing to accept the enemies oppression but we are to engage in the very present spiritual battle. We can’t do these things on our own but by the full armor of God.
