  • "Woody" has been coming around for about a year now and gotten quite friendly or friendlier then before. I don't know what it is about birds and I, but it's very relaxing and comforting to me.
    Birdwatching has many benefits, including:
    ------Mental Health--------
    Birdwatching can improve mental well-being and reduce the risk of depression, anxiety, and stress. It can also help lower blood pressure and reduce muscle tension.
    ------Patience-------
    Birdwatching requires patience, which can help improve concentration, short-term memory, and productivity.
    ------Connection to nature-------
    Birdwatching can help you build a connection with nature and promote habitat conservation.
    Environmental awareness.
    Birds are often the first to show signs of environmental change, so birdwatchers can help track changes and provide data to conservationists.
    ------Mindfulness-------
    Birdwatching can be a form of mindfulness that helps you feel calmer by focusing on the birds rather then the situation you're trying to forget.
    ------Year-round activity----
    Birdwatching can be done year-round and can be enjoyed by anyone, even if you're stuck indoors.
