14:18 honestly this is how I feel, I didn’t get to play any songs from just dance 1 or 2 or any dlcs because I had an xbox360 and for some reason it refused to hook up to my internet so I couldn’t get the free DLC's or hook up to the shop, I was like 5 when the last DLC based game came out so it was more my sister who couldn’t buy the songs but I could've played them with her. Then when I got just dance unlimited on my switch when I was 10 I had access to almost all the dlcs and most of the JD1 and JD2 songs so I was really happy

Nah for jd1 hot n cold is mid. Jd1 has great maps like pump up the jam, jin go lo ba, I like to move it. Hot n cold is very overrated. The choreography is not even good.

I was so confused about DLCs. The only way I saw that Just Dance had more songs was on TH-cam. That's how I learned about One Thing by One Direction and Gangam Style by Psy. I remember playing Just Dance 4 on Wii then later JD2014 on Xbox kinect.
I actually really like the story mode. Sure, it's not perfect, but what kind off story mode can people expect for a dancing game. I like the idea for a story mode and I like what Ubisoft came up with. If others don't like it, it's fine with me, but I would've liked to see where the story goes next...
I also discovered MARINA from oh no. Im not the hugest fan of hers. But i defiantly wouldn't have listened to Electra heart If it wasn't for oh no. Also valley of the dolls is my favorite off of that album! :D

Here's my unpopular opinion: Jacklust shippers were the most annoying part of the fandom at some point. they always tried to force that ship on others and when the just dance team actually rejeceted the ship They were called homophobic when we have a lot more representation in other maps that it's actually canon. I'm so glad they made them half-brothers so these people can stfu
Hot n cold is definitely overrated. In jd1 they had some great choreographies like: i like to move it, pump up the jam, jin go lo ba, cotton eye joe and even u can't touch this. These maps have surprisingly good choreographies and a lot of energy. Hot n cold dance doesn't even move your legs. She stands in the same spot.
To make it clear,just dance 3 first had camera movements in Pump It when it goes ha ha haaaa it zooms out for the camera and it goes stereo wiiiiiiiii it zooms in with the camera effects

I'm not against animated maps, but I don't like any of the CGI animated maps due to how awkward, janky and unnatural the movements are. Hand-drawn, stop motion and 16-bit animation are a lot nicer though. Also my hot take was that people hate on JD21 when it is my joint favourite Just Dance game (it really pains me each time I see the Just Dance Community tear it apart). Also another hot take of mine was that I actively dislike how all/almost all routines have title cards since JD2022, it makes the routines feel very pretentious irrespective of what happens in the choreography. I don't need to be reminded of the song I chose I saw it earlier when I selected it. It's just there are surplus padding most of the time.

Ok my opinion has shifted a lil bit I played pasan and other maps and I’ve gotten more used to it I think it was just making me feel sick at first so I just avoided it all together but pasan is a edible song so I I had to learn how to eat it up❤
Personally it is difficult for me to play the JD games past 2015 on the wii U / 8th gen consoles solely due to the graphics and sound effects. I mostly play the wii games as I really am nostalgic for the sound effects and UI and such

I have another hot take that might not be a hot take but it’s something I’ve seen in a lot of Just Dance’s comment section whenever they make any kind of post. I am so tired of seeing people compare the old games with the new games, saying things like “aI miss the old just dance!” “Bring back old just dance!” “That looks stupid! Bring back OG Just Dance!” and sending such visceral criticism towards the devs because the new games have evolved so much. I personally love the way the coaches look now, how they’re more acting involved with the dances now, it’s far more entertaining that way. I understand the old games are such staples of some people’s childhoods, but I think the new games are more entertaining than the old games.
This new game though had no replay value. The older games have different modes. Ubisoft removed all the fun modes. Mashups, Simon says mode, battle mode, world video challenge, dance quests and the world dance floor. They literally removed the weekly tournament on jd2021 which had so many players playing the game at that time
My hot take is that we need more Carrie Underwood and the good girl ntsc-u exclusive should return as their is a influx of country songs coming into JD Edit: also call me by Blondie is reaching a level of obscurity as I see literally no representation is available on her map as the coach didn't appear in any mashups. Also BRING BACK MASHUPS, CACTUS, BLONDIE AND MARINA FOR JD26 Also don't feel bad about never playing timber as I only was able to afford fun house on JD 4 as at the time when servers were up my family was in a financial rut as we just bought a house*
God, i totally forgot to put some hot takes, but i have tree 1 The only good tribute map was the Ariana grande one, the other ones are fan service and totally a wrong idea 2 JD was flopping bc Ubisoft made 2023 only for ps5 Xbox s x and nintendo switch, while ps4 and xbox one were a huge part of players, including youtubers and they just said "f u" 3 The story mode would be fine for a diferent game, not just dance: A story like "multiverse" is totally huge for a simple dance game, it would be fine if it was like a competition of dancing or something just "defeat the main villain" just that
i would say jd 1 is way more fun than jd 2025. The choreographies were way more fun, there were more modes in the game. It was more fun with friends, now it feels like a 1 player game. I'm not saying the game is bad, I love it and it's more challenging. but it's not funnier than jd 1

I might be late to this, but here's my hot takes. Please include this in the Pt2 if you can. The JD Team has became too obsessed with being diverse that they're forgetting that there's normies like me who play the game, too. Now I'm not saying I hate the gay maps, but it gets a bit annoying when half the maps are either girly, queer, or sassy, leaving less room for more masculine or standard creative maps that don't need to be "girly pop." I feel the JD team drifted into this direction because the majority of the community is queer and/or female. When we actually get a more creative map or masculine map, the feedback is mostly from that portion of the community saying stuff like, "Im disappointed" or something along the lines of that. As a result, JD2025 lacks any masculine or standard creative maps, being mostly feminine. The only maps with a male coach in this JD are goofy maps (excluding "Lovin' On Me" and "In The Shadows"). The game can be diverse. If anything, the diversity is what made the game popular, but the JD team should remember that they need to make sure that there's a map for every demographic so the game doesn't feel targeted to just one audience.
I absolutely HATE when Just Dancers complain that a map is "not serious enough" or "too childish." I mean, what were you guys expecting? Most people who play this game are literal children! Of course, it's going to look all colorful, childish, and cutesy. Maybe the real problem is that you’re a grown ass adult complaining about a children’s game! Also, just because something is childish doesn’t make it automatically bad. Some dances are just overall fun, but since they don’t meet the community’s standards, these dances are dismissed as childish and, in some cases, even considered troll maps (Move Your Body is the perfect example). You guys are allergic to fun, and it shows.

2 JD was flopping bc Ubisoft made 2023 only for ps5 Xbox s x and nintendo switch, while ps4 and xbox one were a huge part of players, including youtubers and they just said "f u"
3 The story mode would be fine for a diferent game, not just dance: A story like "multiverse" is totally huge for a simple dance game, it would be fine if it was like a competition of dancing or something just "defeat the main villain" just that

i would say jd 1 is way more fun than jd 2025. The choreographies were way more fun, there were more modes in the game. It was more fun with friends, now it feels like a 1 player game. I'm not saying the game is bad, I love it and it's more challenging. but it's not funnier than jd 1

I might be late to this, but here's my hot takes. Please include this in the Pt2 if you can.
The JD Team has became too obsessed with being diverse that they're forgetting that there's normies like me who play the game, too. Now I'm not saying I hate the gay maps, but it gets a bit annoying when half the maps are either girly, queer, or sassy, leaving less room for more masculine or standard creative maps that don't need to be "girly pop."
I feel the JD team drifted into this direction because the majority of the community is queer and/or female. When we actually get a more creative map or masculine map, the feedback is mostly from that portion of the community saying stuff like, "Im disappointed" or something along the lines of that. As a result, JD2025 lacks any masculine or standard creative maps, being mostly feminine. The only maps with a male coach in this JD are goofy maps (excluding "Lovin' On Me" and "In The Shadows").
The game can be diverse. If anything, the diversity is what made the game popular, but the JD team should remember that they need to make sure that there's a map for every demographic so the game doesn't feel targeted to just one audience.

I absolutely HATE when Just Dancers complain that a map is "not serious enough" or "too childish." I mean, what were you guys expecting? Most people who play this game are literal children! Of course, it's going to look all colorful, childish, and cutesy. Maybe the real problem is that you’re a grown ass adult complaining about a children’s game!
Also, just because something is childish doesn’t make it automatically bad. Some dances are just overall fun, but since they don’t meet the community’s standards, these dances are dismissed as childish and, in some cases, even considered troll maps (Move Your Body is the perfect example). You guys are allergic to fun, and it shows.
My hot take: the 2014 version of We Can't Stop is much better than the 2015 version
