tips~! Its better to make the outline bigger than the rice outline, it gives the illusuin its an actual map. Use fineline pens, they can be pricy but it'll be totally worth it for the end result. Be creative about it! Add caverns, towns, etc, JUST BE CREATIVE ABOUT IT!

As I am an avid mapmaker and it’s really funny seeing all my friends and going “behold you hath entered my domain.” Idk makes me feel good abt myself for how good I’ve gotten at it. From rice too full on tectonic simulations. It’s a beautiful world too explore full of even more beautiful worlds you can create. I hope you ended up enjoying it as much as I do’
Just did this today to hang on my wall. But I used a white sheet of paper, and stained it with coffee, then did all the rice drawing and stuff. Best thing I've done all week lol

A tip for the watercolour on the card- you can actually use wet tea bags and dab them on the card - it was a great thing to use and for him 5o not waste the rice was good and that made me shockec
Another thing you can do is tear the side ways of the paper to make it look kinda old and you can use the leftover paper to use in your journal 😄 Not recommended but you also burn the edges after tearing the paper😀

You don’t need rice. You can use beans or just draw random lands freehand.

you can also do this with coffee on watercolor paper! fun fact: special watercolor paper is thicker, and doesnt bend when you paint!
