Why do we have to cut to watch commentators the moment James is about to pass to take the lead and then not even mention it? Production again not understanding what people want to see while watching a sporting event.

I have just watched Asia,oceania,Europe with good production live. and this is the worst coverage ever. Its like they are playing a random podcast in the background. No stats or controll over who is where. No name stats. Just upclose filming. Wtf
europe coverage was top notch. Should be the standard for all comps

They announced Friday would be limited coverage on the CrossFit Podcasts channel instead of the main games account.
Torian was the exception as they seemed to have their own media to do full coverage on Friday.
Sat/Sun will be more complete coverage

@WayneGlass1 chris is very much an expert in the crossfit space and has the resume to back that up. But yeah some rando in the comment section of a crossfit video knows more than him

Thank you @Crossfitgames for the free coverage. I love being able to watch all the athletes compete. I did appreciate how the Oceania region had commentators for all the heats for each workout. I think that adds a lot of value to the viewers. I hope we can see more of the events run like the Oceania semifinal in the future!
Absurd that they keep showing the commentators and not the athletes. This coverage is a joke and also serves as a testament to how immature CrossFit still is as a professional sports organization
I said it before, and I will say it again the Torian Pro gives the best coverage of the semifinals.

Awful awful coverage. Absolutely no idea what is going on. Constant switching cameras and no information. No wonder people think CrossFit is dying.
Just arrived here from watching the euro semis and the commentators are much better (by a bit). P.S. we’re here to watch semis not people talk.

How is "about 800 meters" a fair test between all regions? I'm so confused about that. A straight, flat run is a bit different compared to a more hilly run with stairs right? Seems like a significant factor that could lead to an inaccurate reflection of results.

@@username-kn3oh I responded to the commentator who said smaller guys will do better at running in these type of events. Yes Hyrox is not CrossFit but Hunter is big and still dominates in an event that covers more than 8km of running.
@Sunelification that guy is a beast and he'd most likely win a long running or some sort of really long endurance event at the games but that's about the only thing he's be competitive in. That's the beauty of crossfit the guy who wins is the most well rounded athlete
