He loves his brother, and he is a good, dedicated man. But how does he compare to WWX? He doesn't, and he knows it, and he hates it. Which is why he is such a tragic character.

A-cheng revealed himself to the Wen’s so the wouldn’t capture A-xian which in turn made him lose his golden core, A-xian giving up his core and enduring the pain just to make A-cheng want to live again and their Shijie shielding A-xian because she loves her little brother that much.

This hit me hard because it reminds me of my broken family. Ignorance truly is bliss. I never bothered listening to the arguments between my family members, thinking it never involved me. But then I realized that's never the case.
Now that I think about it, I feel like the reason Jiang Cheng was so angry and sad about the golden core transfer was because the entire reason he lost it was so that he could protect Wei Wuxian. He let the Wens torture him and destroy his core and had already accepted his fate, assuming he could die there. But then Wei Wuxian saved him and he finally felt the impact of losing a core, he was devastated he would have to live without one forever, and lashed out at Wei Wuxian, wishing he had died instead of being forced to live like that. Then, years later when he found out the truth, he couldn't accept it because it turned out his sacrifice was all for nothing. He sacrificed himself and his golden core to save Wei Wuxian, and then Wei Wuxian went and sacrificed his own golden core to him, which essentially made his own sacrifice useless, and wasn't something he even wanted in the first place. Guilt that he had to have his junior brother give him his golden core and regret that he had indirectly made him do that gave way to anger.
Yes, and Jiang Cheng was angry because he thought his brother was going back on his word and rejecting his clan and making things so mich worse for them by pursuing dark arts, all seemingly out of selfishness, but it turned out to be the total opposite, and Jiang Cheng was hurt again as he realized Wei Wuxien had hid his sacrifice and suffered alone, letting Jiang Cheng hurt him more and make choices he NEVER would have if he had known. No wonder he was angry. He thought his brother had abandoned him, then discovered he had sacrificed everything for him but refused to tell him about it. I would have been angry, too. And really hurt.
these three are the perfect definition of ‘family.’ I like to believe that wei wuxian and jiang cheng slowly talked and made up after the story ended. both of them never stopped caring about each other, they deserve closure. I like to believe wei wuxian sometimes comes over to babysit jin ling when jiang cheng has clan leader duties to do
JL is a clan leader himself after JGY's death. He doesn't need babysitting. But he and WWX do go on night hunts together sometimes. So I think there's hope that JC and WWX will mend bridges. 🤞🏼
Within the MDZS Universe, the only siblings that are still complete is the Lan siblings which makes me sad. The Yunmeng siblings loved each other so much to the point of sacrificing for the other without communicating properly causing more pain. The Nie siblings are sweet too but same as YMJ concerning the tragic part. The Wen siblings, just make me want to cry all over again. The Jin brothers, too many obstacles such as discrimination for them to actually get to know each other. MDZS just filled with sibling with no proper parental figures, sacrificial ones, and doing their best but failing because of external reasons.
No one would be comparable to sije(the sister) she is the best.she never ever become angry to her brothers no matter what the situation. She always trust them and protect them. In the drama there she might not fight physically but she was the greatest mental support for her brothers.
Ahhhh I this series was so painful to watch, I could feel my heart breaking every single episode and mostly because of this sibling relationship, knowing from the very start that the JC would end up killing WWX and hating him and then being thrown back to when they all were still together and acted like siblings and loved each other, and then having to watch their relationship slowly deteriorate, and all because of misunderstandings and jealousy, it felt like being stabbed with a knife, worse part was that you could still so easily tell that they loved each other so dearly, and still do, and this video shows that so clearly, beautiful work and beautiful choice of song!
What are you talking about? I am honestly confused. In none of the adaptions 'The Untamed' included did Jiang Cheng ever kill Wei Wuxian? It was always suicide (by cop / fierce corpses in the novel/audio drama [since he knew perfectly well, there would be a cultivation backlash if he broke the Stygian Tigerseal], letting go of Lan Wangjis hand and falling into that fiery pit in the live action drama). But yeah, the song is perfect for the three of them and the vid very nicely made. Kudos.

Yes, wuxian made the active choose to end his life, Wangji caught him, Jiang chang stabbed his sword into the ground which would lead to Wangji falling into the pit with Wuxian so Wuxian let go in order to save Wangji. For me, that means that Jiang chang killed wuxian, but it's definitely debatable whether he meant to or not, and also whether wuxian would've survived either way. The point of the comment was that it's heartbreaking to know that their relationship would end up like that, and then having to watch it deteriorate. I don't believe it's completely unreasonable to say that Jiang chang killed wuxian, or at the very least, played a huge part in his death.

Whenever I watch anything about the untamed I just start crying for no reason. The story of all characters in it is just so heartbreaking and sad, but when I realize everything turned out great and happy then I will be like “tf I’m crying for” and then cry even more because some beautiful characters died but I am happy for two main leads to have a happy ending.

He went from being the apple of the whole Jiang sect's eyes, the lovely baby, raised in Jiang Yanli and Wei Wuxian's shade to the one who had to watch the ruin of his sect, and rebuild it, exactly during the time when he hated himself so much, for not being able to chose sides, and needed a shoulder to cry... Jiang Yanli, gets me everytime with her "We three would never be apart". I can't even say how much I love her, and how much I love Xuan Lu, for pouring life into this character. Such delicate girl, who became the badass at times to defend her family. She believed in her brothers and their brotherhood till the end of time... Raised two idiots since childhood, grew up to marry the third one and gave birth to the fourth one. Honestly guys, she deserves so much love and immense respect. What would have these brothers done, if Jiang Yanli was not there?!! The thing about Wei WuXian... I'm sorry I can't type anything that could exactly describe how much I cry for him, every time I see him...

Yes jiang fengmian favoured wwx but madam yu never tested him politely too. Madam yu wanted justice for jc but wwx was always there to comfort him. They both care for each other. They resolve their mistakes and lives a better life with wwx
