1. Do not click and drag 2. 3. Draw along the axes if you can 4. axis lock using arrow keys 5. Inference points 6. Combine 4 and 5 7. Intersecting lines along a line will divide that line 8. Erasing Int. lines will heal that line 9. Divide lines using divide function
Wow, another great video for "career beginners" like me. I can use all of them. I was considering sending you a question, and this might be a good time. I've forgotten how to undo individual values in the measurements box after pressing enter. For example, if you accidentally enter 2 inches x 6 inches, press enter, but it should have been 2 x 8. I saw a way you can change the 6 to an 8 after pressing enter, but can't find it again. Thanks.
As long as you don't activate another tool or do anything else after typing enter, just re-type the revised value and hit enter again - that should do it - thanks!
You say to type the length of a line but the length does not show up anywhere. Is there a way to see the length of the line you are typing? It used to shop up on the right hand corner of my screen in an old version but now it does not appear there. I have not found a setting for this.
Question! when using tip number 9 - divide your lines using divide - how can you 'see' where the points are on the line where they have been divided.. I have managed to use bth the mouse and typing to set the number of segments but the boundaries between each segment are not clear. Is there a way to see/use these points without clicking each segment. Thanks in anticipation of your efforts.
Probably you'd want to go into the styles section of your tray and adjust your line settings so that endpoints are turned on - th-cam.com/video/MbxE2Xej0OA/w-d-xo.html - Thanks!
I'm using 3dconnexion travel mouse and 3d mouse. To lock to an axis I have to take my hand off the 3d mouse which is slow and tedious. Would programming a shortcut into the mouse or 3d mouse help? or what would you recommend as best practice?
Sorry Chris - I don't have any feedback on this one as I haven't worked with a 3D mouse - I assume some kind of a shortcut with the mouse would help....
Hey I’m having trouble logging in and help option isn’t helping when I try to access or save my models it shows an error code “we are having trouble finding your model our team has been notified.” It has been the same for more than a week any idea how to help me? I use a Apple Mac computer and am using the free version of sketch up.
you are the king 🤩
I have problem with the first tip, i cannot make line by single click, i need to drag and hold to make line, do you know how to fix it?
Nice video 👍
And a doubt is their any technique to measure the length of curve
1. Do not click and drag
2.
3. Draw along the axes if you can
4. axis lock using arrow keys
5. Inference points
6. Combine 4 and 5
7. Intersecting lines along a line will divide that line
8. Erasing Int. lines will heal that line
9. Divide lines using divide function
Hi, great video ! Is there any way to change the each line width? Like illustrator's stroke (not in layout or style) Thanks!

it will be more helpful if you described how to draw curve lines in different planes or any irregular line drawing techniques.
Thanks

TheSketchUpEssentials Thanks for the reply Justin. Maybe they’ll send you one to review? Keep up the good work!
How do you change the length of a line (wall) after it's made?
Re-draw it. Or split it at the point of the new length and erase the extra
Great content mate keep working :)
Thanks :)
nice thanks

No idea, sorry - sounds like a Trimble cloud issue to me
"Healing" straight lines was good. Without using an extension I've been wondering how to do that for a long time.
