Keep away opening is what I wanted to try out. The reload on keep away is a bonus you could compare to overflow, plus even more accuracy. Cargo plane-sized bullets
This might just be my new favorite sniper. As someone who has always had a soft spot for sole survivor, the nostalgia is great, I love the weapon's design, rapid fires are my favorite type and I just have a strange unnatural attraction to snipes without snapshot.

With the 140 rpm sniper flinch reduction that came around last season, these feel so much better than they did last year. Try out Father's Sins again, it may surprise you since that buff
I have genuinely been LOVING THIS THING. I think it may be my favorite sniper, and I love how flexible the perk rolls are due to the archetype too, I feel like I can be super snappy without having to build for snapshot or something, leaving overflow, which on a special weapon is one of my favorite perks ever, it's soooo nice. Also headstone is very nice crucible wise for revive based modes too.
Another fringe benefit of rapid fires is that they have extremely low recoil compared to other sniper frames. The high AA and low recoil makes it very effective at recovery for a second headshot attempt
Really glad someone is finally talking about this sniper. I’ve been astounded that no one even noticed the craftible sniper that can get up to 100 aim assist without even using a mod. I’ve had a lot of fun with it and can’t wait to try out enhanced perks when I unlock them
That second shot is hilarious. Not only was it not even close to being on target, but you can literally see the bullet trail curve all the way to the right
I want to give this one a try because of that keep away opening shot combo, even though i suck at sniping. As for those weird shots though, i think theres a rapid fire frame glitch that makes your flinch visual only because they all seem to land shots they have no business landing
My fav kinetic slot sniper has been my Long Shadow for a while, it just feels so nice. But people often forget Tranquility is still farmable, and feels surprisingly good, even with power creep of other newer snipers
This has quickly turned into my favourite sniper over the past week, if you have one with keep away theres just something special about it that feels like a headshot magnet, coming from supremacy being one of my favourites i think this goes far beyond that
I think you nailed it when you said it’s a seasonal weapon, it’s probably a throw away, I have a better version of this in my vault. That’s how I feel about all of this seasons weapons. I will definitely be giving this one a shot though. Thanks !
Following up on this. I’m still working on crafting it. At 2/5. I have an opening shot roll and it has been amazing for me in one play session. My first 7 shots were headshots. I think you’re onto something…
I’ll definitely check it out. I’m not good at sniping but I’ve been practicing with some different weapons. Funny you spoke on “the feel” I think that’s what I’m looking for just some many it’s overwhelming at times.
So glad to have a video done on this sniper. Been using it and trying to make it work since it came out. It's outclassed by supremacy's stats in every way, but it just looks so cool. Plus I hate supremacy's scope. Enhanced perks are a must, and keep away opening shot has been the most consistent so far for one shots. Just don't get flinched and pick targets closer to scout ranges. I do have a second with moving target unenhanced tho since strafe speed with lower zooms feel better, but the aim assist is wasted since it can max out without the perk anyway. Absolutely hate having to constantly swap around from kinetic targeting and dexterity mods to stasis when i want to use it tho. They are required.
You sold me at "it's like a super scout". I'm looking forward to the distant future where we might get a special ammo scout. I'd love to have a scout that just hits a little harder. Like Forerunner or Eriana's Vow
Snipers have always been about feel for me, but I gravitate towards the aggressive frames, I love love love the bite of the Fox and am having a really hard time switching off but after this video I juuuuust might try this one
Just got overflow opening shot on it and it took only 1 game to become a true believer in a distant pull. 35 zoom snipers are often discarded for being too hard to use but the high aim assist definetly helps it step up to it longer zoom brothers. I am definitely crafting this.
I use this sniper purely in my triple sniper build Whisper Gallu with overflow snap And a distant pull with overflow discord. It works like a charm.for what I need it to do. Gallu gets the initial kill, I swap to this monster and it just doesn't run out of ammo. Really fun
I might craft one of these with: flutes barrel, accurized rounds, keep away, opening shot, and a handling MW, alongside Icarus for AE. 75 range, 90 handling, 40 stability, 100 AA, 18 AE for a pretty well balanced sniper.

Looking at the footage at slow mo, it feels like there is some kind of bug where the flinch you receive is only visual and client sided, so the server seems to believe that the shot wasn’t affected by flinch even though it was.

Yeah, crafting this, made me put down my shepherd's watch which is my personal all time favorite sniper. Tryna get the new solar sniper last forray to drop at least once, to see if it's any gd.
Honestly this video highlights that people have kind of forgotten that both Handling was buffed and Snapshot was nerfed on Snipers awhile back, so Snapshot isn't nearly as mandatory if you're able to just directly build into Handling. (And a even just a Targeting mod alone gives a 25% boost to your ADS speed.) Also I'd probably go Keep Away for the left column since that doubles down on the accuracy boost as well as more Range helps the Aim Assist stay consistent as you get further out, if you go Enhanced Opening Shot it even still hits 100 AA with just a helmet Targeting mod on, and for non-enhanced just put Targeting Adjuster on the weapon as well. Though bear in mind that The Supremacy can do this roll as well with better base stats, ultimately comes down to Zoom preference since that one is 40 Zoom.
It might be because this sniper is based on Sole Survivor that you like it more. Just like how Targeted Redaction feels like a 140/150 just like spare rations does, A Distant Pull feels like an adaptive sniper just like Sole Survivor, but it has the cracked stats of a rapid fire.

Happened to get a corkscrew/tunnel vision/OS/ Handling MW roll. And until I craft it it’s a nice sample Of what the gun is capable of. And thank you for dropping this review ! I usually don’t like sniping, I never go for double body shots anyway. But the feel of this guns handling and aim assist more than makes up for it. If you’re complaining about only Hitting body’s it’s a skill issue. Fantastic sights to top it off. Thanks for putting it on my radar !
im not too much of a sniper user, but I kinda wish it had the same chevron as Sole Survivor. It was actually a huge reason as to why I used the Sole Survivor back when I was grinding for Revoker. Sadly, I don't have that skin to change it back.

I tried one in PvE because I had a Banshee bounty. I was really surprised at how well I was landing my shots because I hate most snipers. It still doesn't feel as good as Revoker, but I thought it was in the ballpark of Twighlight Oath (my second favorite behind Revoker). I probably will try for a better roll after I get the pulse rifle.
I can confirm this sniper makes shots it has no businesss making lmao, a few months ago, i got a head shot on a titan in his thunder crash in the tunnel by A on distant shore he would have gotten the entire team too but i said fk it yolo and hip fire shot thinking ima miss completely or maybe a body but nah it straight beamed him and ended him, i only got the single headshot on the 140 because my other teamates damaged him enough but it shouldn't have hit him at all to begin with i know i was way off target but the aa said like the youtube guy, "I got you bro" 😂😂😂

I luv my Distant pull. From day 1 of release I’ve been using it. It just feels better and ads is “smoother” not sure how to put it in words.

Overflow/Collective Action is nice on it. Run it on my Arc builds and the perk is up more than not.
