  • I spent 10 years in pastoral ministry before switching to IT. I even earned a Master's Degree and was working on my doctorate when I decided to walk away from it.
In this video, I share more details on how (and why) I left a career as a pastor to become an ethical hacker.
    Enjoy!

I remember feeling like I failed God when I decided to move from preaching to starting my journey to become a pentester, but honestly, I've realized that no matter what I'm doing, Christ can still be in control of my life, and I can still tell people about Christ regardless.

Just when I feel like you can’t get any more genuine you drop this. Thanks for sharing the why behind your career transition. And for finding some time to loop on how amazing He is. 👍 thanks for being you and recording your insights for everyone.
SN: Those who speak the truth are often scorned. Keep speaking/preaching! 🙌

Absolutely awesome. Not a religious person here, I'm atheist, but you seem to have truly a kind Christian spirit, if there is such a thing. 😊

Great story and I understand what you are saying 110%. A funny thing happened to me, a friend of mine bought his first Sinclair computer and we were always together learning the secrets of Basic, I then bought a Commodore 64 and the idea was to continue with computers. But my friend decided to start studying theology. Well priesthood and computers didn't go together then 😂 So now I'm trying to catch up with the rest of you, with your videos 🤟(some time has passed though, so try to understand 😁)

I entered the Evangelical religion for 20 years ago, my partner was the reason why I become a Christian. Im a very thinking person, so I found out that the religion didn’t convince me and I felt oppressed and conditioned to do certain things that I disagree with. So in my mind I ask my self, is this freedom?
No absolutely not. The church is not the owner of my finances or my time or has the right to choose what news channel I have to watch. So I left everything behind, now I’m free and happy again. I don’t believe in any god. I believe in science and in evolution.

I'm sorry Tyler seems like you have gone through so much trouble and took burden of other people, But it's better to go for ministry if and only if we have calling from god himself otherwise we cant lead the ministry and I'm sorry for the religious people who caused you pain. But here we are watching you content from India and sharing it to my colleages and learning from your content. But never give up your relationship with god. The so called traiditional chrisitainity is not bibilical chrsitianity. Anyway thanks for sharing

I had the same experience, my family did not care for covid and went to church carefree w/ no mask. it took two deaths in the family for the message to be sent. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I am not that weird religious people you are calling out but I invite you to read the Quran, listen to Quran. I guarantee on my life your life will be changed. Just once, just once listen to it please, Tyler. I myself am not hard into my own religion, like I don't pray often, and all of that stuff, I am not perfect, but whenever I myself listen to it, I get goosebumps, and almost cry, its truly something else, I am not even that religious. Jesus is my prophet too, and I absolutely believe and love him, but Christianity has been breached, and a lot of it has changed, its due to tolerating everything, Religions have boundaries, which Christianity blurs a lot, be honest your society has collapsed, even though the West is rich and all that, there are no morals, there is no God, Satan has hacked your society, I see naked men holding hands with kids openly, and being clapped at, that's no tolerance. I say third world countries in Africa are yet not infected, and have god. The bad things happening there are not even considered bad, its due to men being weak. Listen to Quran, just search up surah al mulk, just for the sake of knowledge.
