I know EXACTLY how you feel both my younger siblings are the golden kids I'm just on the side lines and my siblings ain't even HIS I'm his own blood and he doesn't even care, we were all in the car the other day and they just start talking about my younger siblings' birthdays and never even asked me about mine I know it's a small stupid thing but it really does hurt. @@artsygremlin9091 exactly i get so sick of ppl trying to defend john even in the show. Sure maybe he somewhat loved the boys but that doesnt mean he did his best. Far from it even Sam himself thanked dean many times for taking care of him since young. He told him that dean practically raised him and john himself admitted that dean was the one who took care of the both of them when he was just a kid. He told his mother when they argued that its ok and he told john when he was an "angry drunk" that it was ok. He stole food for Sam because their dad didnt bother to make sure that they had enough around while he was gone And when he got caught stealing and was sent to a boys home john told the police to let him Rott there. Lets not dive into the whole season 1 plot where he literally ignored his boys and only ever answered or showed if they mentioned a lead for his revenge case. Not even in the episode where dean was dying and Sam called him, he bothered to call back or show. Hes a selfish and revenge obsessed mess Sometimes i believe the argument too that john loved them or at least Sam but he loved mary more and never really liked dean because he looked and was too much like mary(the mum) he was a caretaker and dependent on family while sam was independent and since dean took on responsibility shielding sam to be more a kid and find himself. Sam had his own interests and thrives. Sam managed to develope a personality for himself to some extend but watching the show u can just tell dena never had rhe chance to truely develope his own or think of himself and what he really wants so "well he tried his best" is just bs. Dean tried his best, deans the closest thing of a fazher and mother to Sam and Bobby is the cloest thing to a father for dean periodt

my mother was 17 when she met my father. you can say they fell in love, until that one hotel night when he put something in her drink and raped her.
my mum never found out so they were still together. but thoughout the months she started coming out of the closet and lost interest in him.
a day later she realized she was pregnant and realized he touched her. her first thoughts was that she shouldn’t keep it because its going to grow up knowing it was a mistake. a terrible mistake.
she then found another lover, a women named Cecilia. they grew a strong connection and my mum told her about the baby. Ceci told her that she should keep it and make Isaac (my father) lose custody. My mum agreed.
My mom talked to Isaac, she tried to break up with him. But my father couldn’t accept it. He was a very centred man that never left his country. he didn’t allow her and told her that he wanted to keep me and grow a family with her.
My mother was fully lesbian and couldn’t allow it so she told him she wasn’t interested in him anymore and she left. When i was born my mom had to go to Isaacs place because he wanted to see me. He grabbed me by the arms and smiled. He told my mom that he would kill her if she left.
So that night at 11pm when he was asleep, she kidnaped me and drove. she drove to my grandmothers place which was nearby. She told her to keep me safe and that she was going to Canada with Ceci to hire a lawyer to make Isaac lose custody.
When my mother left, obviously Isaac found out and he knew i was at my grandmothers so he tried to come and hurt us. Luckily, my grandmother was smart and she packed up and escaped to her friends place. Isaac grew crazy and was desperately in love with my mum, the bad kind. It took three years for the judge to approve my mother’s wishes and he signed the form to make Isaac lose custody.
I shortened this up a lot. Many things happened in those 3 years that are very disturbing and sad. But, here i am a 14 year old boy who doesn’t even know what my father looks like.
Oh well.

The one with the girl getting crap because of her sister got me. I have a bad relationship with my father because he always emotionally abused me as a way to "tough me up and prepare me for the world as a woman" and he always favored my brother over me because he was "his boy" while I was a girl. My brother never took advantage of it though, I don't even think he even realizes it. And I love my brother to bits and we have a good relationship. But I know he loved him more and so did my mom. We both tried calling him out on it, but he gets SO pissed off when we "think that way" and just refuses to acknowledge his faults. My mom told him my father will never change and will never budge in his viewpoint and I have to move on for the sake of my own mental health. But, it's so hard. How can I hate my father so much and yet still crave his love and acceptance?

For me it's the contrary, my father was one of the best dad's ever. He had some flaws but he cared about me, my alcoholic mother always complained about him not making enough money, but why didn't she work instead of drinking. R.I.P dad.

my dad left years ago but he still used to came and pick me up some weekends, we had fun until he started coming less and less and less i went to therapy bc of it and then lived the best years of my life with my mom i love her she’s so strong she had to take care of me and work at the same time everyday i know that era wasn’t easy for her and i so appreciate all she did even if it sometimes might seem like i don’t my dad came back like one or two years ago he only comes once in holidays like my bday, christmas or things like that but i hate it i rlly just wish he never came back.

I don't think John Winchester deserved to be here, he did the best he could which the situation he had, I think its back in s2 or s3 when Sam and dean met that other psychic, his father abused and blamed him for his mother's death and in turn made the psychic a psycho so John took the better path and his sons saved the world multiple times
Actually i think he deserves to be here,why? bc as he said he put so much responsibility on dean's shoulder he had to be more than a brother to keep Sam safe and John decided to choose revenge over his sons so...

Grew up with a present absent father who I realized took his anger out on us and picked us bio every few months til we were 13, I understand his shitty childhood but to take your anger n pain out on your children. And any time we visited he was sleeping most of the time n I never knew anything about him. After 13 the visits stopped n we got used to being without him. The only way we saw him more than a few hours was being bad so he would punish us for hours so we could spend time with him for a lil while longer even through his anger. The way I still loved him regardless but now I see how it really was, I could care less whether he acknowledges his faults or comes around again. I wish him well regardless but idc anymore, it’s too late. I tried to talk to you even after all those years and pretend you were my father but I won’t forget. I love you, but f*** you. Please continue living your life like we’re just two humans living our own lives, I’ve mourned the father you could’ve been and accepted you for you.

I have a dad who never cared about me and only when it was convenient for him and he was bored without any girls around. I grew up very lonely without my family, friends or relatives or even a stranger to help me out. To me, hes nothing but a stranger, just like the rest of the world. However, I'm glad I have my mom. Although we have only really talked for the past 2 years bc she also put me through some emotional abuse and her mental illness was and still is traumatic for me, as a mother, she at least tried to help me out sometimes. I love my mom despite that bc she didnt give up like my dad and if I hated her too, I wouldn't have any family left
