- After the acquittal of a police officer at the Old Bailey yesterday for having exceeded his authority while trying to arrest a young man whose only ambition in life was to become an architect, we reflect upon the correct way to interact with armed police officers.

The family saying they’re ’left with a feeling of injustice’ …. When the real injustice is their failure to raise a good son
Bravo👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah, injustice, they're just furious because they were probably just hoping for a huge compensation payout! It wouldn't surprise me if some sort of civil action from them is next ££££££ 🙄

@@LordSnobbington-6776 Indeed. Due process, the evidence crossed the threshold...Officer elected for a jury trial. The police don't have right to kill in the UK. Surely if there had been a two tier system that benefited non whites, he would have been convicted.
@@user-xd9yo3le7o "The evidence crossed the threshold"! 😅 Read that back to yourself, simpleton! 😂 That moment when a halfwit thinks he's writing a clever thought provoking comment 🤣
I suspect if they are confronted by a violent or threatening criminal self preservation will kick in and they will react in a similar manner. This should not have gone to court nor should they bring charges against soldiers who shoot unarmed people in the heat of battle or other tense and potentially life threatening situations. It's all too easy for people sat in nice cosy offices knowing the worse thing that will happen to them that day is they may get a parking ticket to pass judgement on someone who has reacted out of genuine fear for their and other people's lives, same applies to people who confront burglars in their own homes, they are reacting out of fear not malice.
The biggest problem we have these days is independent enquiries and the bodies that enact them, which I understand the need for, may not always act in a non partisan way. In some people's minds that policeman would have been guilty the moment he pulled the trigger, regardless of the situation he faced.
