Hard to believe that John Cena has had this song as his WWE wrestling theme song for 17, going on 18, years now. It still is, surprisingly, a banger to this day.
The unappreciated and most underrated bar in history is when he says "Lay yo ass down for the 3 second tan" If you know you know. If you don't know, in wrestling when a dude loses the term is called "counting the lights" which means they've taken a 3 second ref's count looking up at the lights....IE getting a suntan....like holy fuck that lyric is so good on multiple levels.
@Marcus Dyer that doesn't even make sense, what's a three second ten lol. He clearly says tan, he even exaggerates the a. Man really facepalmed when he couldn't be any wronger 🤦
Due to the era this came out, it was definitely iconic. The push John Cena had really took this entrance theme to levels where it shouldn't have been. Those horns always got the pop from the crowd every time it dropped before he entered the arena. It gets a pass from me as well due to the surrounding factors that held an emotional attachment to those horns in this theme song.
Its so interesting to watch someone react to this song as a rap sing and not just John Cenas entrance music. I've been a wrestling fan for too long, this song just fades into white noise. You don't even think about it when you've heard it every week for almost 20 years. You hear the horns, you hear the band, but that's about it. Say what you will for the song as a song as a building block to the presentation that is John Cena its as vital a piece as the man himself. I couldn't fairly rate this if I tried.
Bruh I never heard this song in its entirety until now and really listened to the lyrics, but this is all bars and I don't see how the flow is off. For a wrestler, this shit is a respectable attempt and you can tell he was a fan of the culture and had respect for it.
It’s a shame he didn’t drop another album he has that 90s feel, but still didn’t need he got platinum for 1 album and for a wwe wrestler it’s legendary but like you said he was interested in rap before wrestling
John's verse is all about how he can whip that ass, and the some wrestling Easter eggs, like dating nailz and slaughter.... it's actually really cleverly laid out
2:24 it's so true bcuz it worked in that era which made him to gain fans. I ain't a cena fan like majority of his fan base which are kids but Cena was the guy during his first few years
I see this track pop up…I click It’s so damn nostalgic for me, going to my mates place after school to watch Raw and getting hyped every time this song came on 😂 Take me tf back
Definitely not complex rhyming I agree haha, but this is really a product of its era. Bling rap and ringtone age where tracks like this were huge. Keeping that in mind, plus Cena's a wrestler and not a rapper by trade, and his album was actually decent for its time I'd argue. But hey I was young and new to rap so maybe that's just nostalgia.
Also have to think about the fact that most of Cenas fans are very young, me at the time included. So there’s no reason to have a complex rhyming scheme
John Cena What Now is deep, reflective cut Chain Gang is the Click is the club banger Dont f with us is lyrical miracle Summer flings is the chill ladies joint
This song is something else. Not like a normal song. It seems like one but It has its own attracting power. I don't know why I so much love this song but this song is just amazing. ❤️
You gotta check out more songs off this album. I'll watch all of those reactions. If it all ended tomorrow was my favorite. I had this album when I was a kid haha. The cd was the spinner on the belt so it spun in the case. It was awesome
How did he not hear this?😭 I love WWE to this day and always watch. Including recently like today on Friday when I’m scheduled to work from two in the afternoon until eight when it starts I’ve been going into work earlier so I could get home on time to watch it I was just had to show three weeks ago
Bro im from Europe and I didn't know wwe existed until 10 years old, but I had heard John Cena soundtrack. How is possible this man doesn't know this song is crazy
This song will always take me to a special moment in my life. Simply nostalgic, John was perfect in releasing this album. The streets will never forget this!
Jake one smashed production on this beat he originally had ghostface in mind but Cena asked him to send some beats this was in the batch and Cena loved it. WWE offered 60k for six beats for the album. Cena ain't no gifted MC but when it comes to hip hop he's deep in that shit, it ain't no joke. He's got some worthy features on the album as well.
It’s hard to fucking hate John Cena bro. He’s cold bro dude has his own theme. He’s a rapper he went to the military. He’s a WWE star bro it’s hard. Yes Bad Man!
Right now is nice mellow track u might enjoy man
The music video with Gary Coleman is funny as hell lmao
Hard to believe that John Cena has had this song as his WWE wrestling theme song for 17, going on 18, years now.
It still is, surprisingly, a banger to this day.
So true
I hope we get that OFFICIAL eminem remix before cena retires lol
that’s nothing Shawn Michaels has been using his intro a lot longer. and sings it himself
@@daviddubois5913 technically sherri sung it first for 3 years then shawn sung it later on when he turned face
His thuganomics one is way way better than the current one imo

I can't even count how many times I listened to this album as a kid aha. John Cena is my man
Lol same!! 😄
Same it was on repeat for a hot minute as a kid
The album is 🔥🔥🔥
A good John Cena track is “if it all ended tomorrow”
Facts!
Agreed!
Dude I literally just heard that like a week ago and have been listening to I every time I work out
Bad bad man was great though 🤔
💯
It's weird listening to this without crowd noise 🤣
Never thought I'd see you do a reaction to this that whole album from John Cena is low-key 🔥🔥

He said the trademark was off not cena
They all say Cena can freestyle. I think it’s super commendable what he did being a wrestler. Not bad for not being a true “rapper.”
How tf have you never heard this song before this song is what made john cena super popular
Another good track off that album is "If It All Ended Tomorrow". His other theme Basic Thuganomics is 🔥🔥🔥 as well
He's better than you would expect. I'll say that.
Yeah man is natural
@@klopesluv Yeah another good one off that album is Just Another Day, which is probably one of my favorites off it.
For a NON-RAPPER, this album was good. He has a good voice for it.
He was rapping before he ever began his wrestling journey...

This is pretty iconic for sure but ngl I like his older theme music "Basic Thugonomics" 100% better
The title is "Basic Thuganomics" lol
I’m untouchable but I’m forcing you to feel me

Idk cena is a platinum selling rap artist 🤷♂️
John cena is a hollywood superstar now he doesn’t wrestle like how he used to anymore
One of the hardest intro songs ever in the history of anything.
John Cena aka Peacemaker in DC, he's killing it now in his acting career
Haha I can't believe you actually reacted to John Cena's theme song that's awesome 😎
React to that whole album bro, Cena is underrated when it comes to his lyrics cause of the "battle raps" he did in WWE
Check out "Bad bad man"
Ah hell nah this man did not just do this 😂💯💴
😂😂😂
This album is so good, check out “all ended tomorrow” and “running game”
Fact.
I'm not the biggest Cena fan but I do respect the hell out of him! This theme is always an absolute banger.
That album actually has some slaps on it.
"The same reason y'all could love me is the same reason y'all condemn me."
That line hits hardest for some reason bc of how real it is.
Golden memories with that dude Cena 😂
I remember buying this album as a kid.
"Right now" is a really good song to react to!

Wow.....this is unexpected...love this reaction. More of these classic John Cena reactions please bro.
This is a crossover I never expected to see
Never thought someone would react to this good song I used to own this album I think track 3 and 10 were good
Being that he’s not a rapper, this shit was so good. I used to love seeing him on Friday nights when I was a kid in the early 2000s.
This song is so hype
Cena has that 90s vibe feeling and his album came out in a good time 05 bro Cena has done everything
