I think her true from after 9 years and requiring a new rare catfruit seed makes kind of sense. You don't become superstar/super idol so quickly. You need put many hard works for that. Moneko did that and become a super idol. But this information has nothing to do with the game content whatsoever.

Tbh, even if it was good (mainly by fixing her range issue), it probably wouldn’t be able to compete with critters such as Talented Catasaurus and Soba. Also, time from unit introduction to TF doesn’t correlate to said TF being good, just want to throw that out there.
Imagine if she got Talents and one of those was a Talent to provide increased range, with Max making her have similar range to Neneko. That would be a bit of a cruel move, but at least it would fix her more. (Though if she were to get Talents I assume they would screw that too, but I think if they should do anything else to Moneko with Talents at least allow her to unlock a Resist Metal trait to help her survive more against those Metal she was made to crit against)

Since they have done Massive Damage addition as a talent to Assault CAT for an example, so it isn't an impossible decision. And that will at least make Moneko have the HP to tank some Damage so she can actually get time to attack.

Range is.. A rare commodity. Therr are very few cats that hit strong on good range. From nongacha you basically have Mina and Ururun and thats kind of it... I mean Nyandam has more range but he has low dmg

Golden Seed has a similar scenario to Epic Seed. Where if you were able to degrade the Fruit itself into seeds it would be a lot easier to get (Also thinking on that, why isn't that a mechanic already? Degrading Catfruit into seeds, maybe 2-3 seeds per fruit to keep it balanced. As sometimes getting the seeds for Rare Cat TFs can be annoying)
Moneko isn't the greatest, but she's special, and is now somewhat decent, even with the short range. The wave helps the viability a lot, and if we see any good talents popping up on this, she would be A tier for sure, especially for the 0 cost, and some nice combos.
i see her as a slower rock cat that has a chance to do a wave crit for very cheap, her attack rate is fast enough so she has many shots at doing a crit wave per life. So i do think she's worth it as like a suicide unit like jellifish but for clearing metal peons with her wave
