This a good thing for the boys to know because, sooner rather than later all the boys will be driving and maybe all have cars. Changeing a tire is also a good life lesson for when they have cars and need to change the tire. Its also a good thing to know too because they could help someone on the road who has a flat tire change their tire if they don't know how
You are very correct on all you said! The older two (Micah Jr, and Collin) are licensed drivers and driving their own vehicles and Gavin will be there in a couple of years. And yes, you need to know it for yourself AND so that you can help others at some point! Thanks!!
Haha, AWESOME video. I saw the short version of it long time ago but it was fun to see the longer version now. Great mechanic lesson, now you have to teach them how to change/ refill oil and how to jump start the car. 😊😂😂 also how refill the other fluids need for the car to work smoothly. In Sweden we have a ”garage” lesson when we are learning to drive, where they show us a lot of those things and we get to practice it before getting our license. 🚘😊🔆❤️🇸🇪🇸🇪
Yeah, I wish I could do more shorts but I also need to be more caught up so that its not months later before the actual video comes out. YES! We have done a couple oil changes (unfortunately I didn't vlog any of that) but yes you are right, the boys need to know all the car "basics" like the oil and other fluids! That's great you have a "garage" lesson there! We need that here in place of some of the "nonsense" they teach kids in school! More practical skills would be so much better!
@@MurphSquad Yeah! I can imagine. I did hold a U.S driving license many years ago. I was a Au Pair in Pasadena, Maryland and first I had to take a drug and alcohol lesson before I did my writing and driving test. The driving test there was in a parking lot looking place just outside the DMV building. So at one point I had a driving license in two countries at the same time. 😂😂
I haven’t had to change a tire on the side of the road but I change all four twice a year due to living in a cold climate I run winter tires on my factory wheels and have a nice set for mid spring to about November. once Day Time highs are 45 degrees or below constantly I’ll switch to my winter set. And I barely use 4WD in the winter. Something to think about when deciding on where to go to college or decide to live. It’s more about maintaining control while avoiding bad or inexperienced drivers on snow or ice and you get shorter stopping distance. minimally purchase a dash cam with front and rear cameras especially as your kids are driving it could prevent your insurance rates from going up and capture license plates if needed.
I've never lived up north to where you have to swap tires due to weather. Heard of others doing it but never really thought about that being a way of life. Our family prefers the warm so no plans of living up north at the moment. But yeah if the boys have to live up north for a job/career...that is a good point...they will need to take that into consideration. Thanks for that info and heads up!
I'm jumping to conclusion here, but guessing their ages I feel I see 3 of 4 boys should have already learned this. But after seeing a few videos showing young teens try to operate an old rotary phone and how hilarious that was, I guess I am not surprised. But why was the guy in white pants doing most dirty parts? Yes I noticed that each segment he was the one getting down and involved! The one in Jeans should have been doing those parts. LOL.
Well technically, they have taken off and put on a tire but we have never done it on the side of the road nor in this particular car. So it took a minute to figure out this jack, etc. That is my oldest son in the white pants and he knew more than the others so he did more.
And how about a philosophical approach to this event that many would not recognize. I mean who want's to stop and fix a flat, and nearly everyone would scream to the ground or clouds when it happens to them. But another way to look at events like this, what if the flat didn't happen, and instead of being held back, you were miles down the roadway where a semi collided, or a train signal that no one knew wasn't working correctly, and a train passed by, but luckily no one was there to be hit. What if the flat was a spiritual response to hold you there instead of where you might have been had no flat occurred. So a reflex to be frustrated at first, is ok, but to calm ones self, tell your self maybe it is for a good reason to slow me from a place, position where something bad was to happen, or a thing that might have other wise placed me in harms way. Maybe as one moves ahead and sees nothing had taken place. Don't think, no, there wasn't anything there. Also keep this in mind, Maybe something bad didn't happen because you weren't there to help make it happen. Meaning, while something else was there that could have made a combination for a disaster, the element of you not being there didn't allow it to happen.
100%....I heard someone years ago talk about this and it has stuck with me! Some of life's frustrations like traffic, flat tires, cancellations, etc...could very well be something that is saving our lives! Thanks for adding that!! Blessings!
100%...Sports are great and tons of life lessons to be learned through them but not all things are learned from sports - like changing tires..haha. I try to teach my sons a wide variety of things - from cars, to house repairs, farming, business, etc. Thanks!
Yeah most newer cars do not give you full size spares...just these smaller spares that take up less space and are meant for just emergency situations. It did its job for the day and then we got the original tire patched the next day.
Let's Gooo Guys 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thank you!! They are working to get better daily!

Appreciate that...thank you!

@@The_Food_Hustler That's cool!
Hello to Gavin and Collin i support you and your brother
Thank you!
This is probably the most important life lesson keep in mind. There's many ways to do it as long as you can do it quick that's what counts.
Lots to know when driving and yes this is an important one. Thanks
Lucky they are light wheels. Have put a few Truck ones on now they are hard
100%...We have 2 larger trucks with bigger wheels and yes they are heavy and hard to do by yourself. This little donut spare was very light.
these boys changing a flat tire its a good learning experience 👍👍
For sure! Of course nobody wants a flat tire but was thankful for the life lesson that was taught!

Every kid should know how to do real life things like that not just play sports.

Awesome! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
It's not even a proper spare 🤦
