    One million times thank you!.for years I have thought I might have gone over the top at a shop that sold me alternators for my 300 tdi .they would only last a year at best .so dismantled the alternator to see what was going on.well ha .because the main shaft wore the bearings were fine. All they did was put a metal shim on the shaft and send it out as new .I was not a happy bunny.

    i found an old fiesta xr2i alternator brand new in my shed from a g reg car 1989 i think stuck that on my landy and works a treat lol and i am not even from yorkshire lol

    Made in UK, probably at MM's Spring Road factory in Tyseley, Birmingham.

    I'd be having to refer back to the video to rebuilt the thing. Quite a few parts and bits and pieces there. It'll be nice when cleaned up.

    Check the individual diodes with a multimeter, no need to desolder and not on the metal bench.. 😉😉
    Three have negative body, three have positive body.. easier now than when back on the car..
