Great analysis, love to see where the communities' heads are at. I'd be stoked to see this same sort of breakdown for the specialty sets, maybe with added analysis on what products stand to do the best in regards to investing in collection boxes, etb's or sleeved packs/blisters.
I think every specialty set would be in buy a case. 151, CZ, Paldean Fates except shrouded fable. Shrouded Fable is dogwater. The play for these are sealed booster bundle displays, booster bundles and then ETBs.
Boosters are top tier but dont rule out boxes and tins for specialty sets. Since there is no booster box for those (CZ, 151, PF) other items tend to do well.
In the UK we can only buy one box at a time which is really annoying. I’m just buying a brilliant stars box every day and getting the free promo. I disagree with it being a mid tier set - I think it’s fire but people are sleeping on it for some reason… charizards, arceus, eeveelutions, legendary birds gold cards. This set it honestly top tier but people are overlooking it for now. The hype when it first came out was insane
Pokémon doesn't really release many good sets like Evolving Skies/Surging Sparks/Prismatic.. Only once in a Red Moon🌙 we get to see a very good set with 5+ cards that costs $100+ so if ya can get it at retail prices just go all in..
I would move Obsidian flames to 'buy a box' over SV base. Imo every single SV set is better than the first 4 SWSH. It has Ninetails, Clefa, Scizor, and Gloom IRs that are slept on and any of these clear early SWSH (and Charizard SIR of course)
I’m trying to find things to nitpick… I MIGHT have BS over ST idk where I’d put TWM in that scenario. Honestly, really solid list. I need to get some Paldea… Maybe AR. Meh.
@@PokeProfit Nope. I believe there a script you can run that read must read something in the website API/coding that lists the stock. Point being you should see it out of stock in the next week - 3 weeks max
I bought them a few months ago when they were MSRP on the Pokémon Center. Things like this I would only buy if I could get them at market price and AFTER the booster box sells out on the PC
Why would I want to put all of my money into the most overrated SV set? Just because of the Greninja? 1 card? Not worth it. I like value and a spread of cards with great artwork like PE.
@ i wish! i just made it a point to buy one case every release. So i prepare every 3 months for $679 case purchase. Comes out to $7.50 a day. So if people just cut the energy drink and coffee out they can 2x their money instead of giving it away to starbucks.
