    Nicely done!
    I recently started accepting every order, unless it was absolutely terrible, and I’m finally starting to receive better orders.
    Felt like my algorithm didn’t like it when I was being picky LOL

    • @Missippidashing
      @Missippidashing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That might be the case! Typically I don’t accept orders before half past the hour. They switch from $10 to $18.

    Isn’t it just weird how the spark algorithm works when it sends out orders or is it just me? You hear a lot of “you have to be in the parking lot to get the good orders first”. But I’ll be 9 miles away from finishing a drop off and I’ll get another offer for $42 going 5 miles…even though I’m no where near the Walmart.
    I spark in the Birmingham, Alabama market.

      There's a couple of scenarios that a lot of people don't consider.
      1) A lot of it is the Manager's choice. They might know you're far away (I was a 38 minute drive away on Friday when an Express Order popped up for me for my local Walmart), but send it to you, anyways. Sometimes I have to sign out when I know the drive back is extensive. 15 minutes or less is manageable, but more not-so.
      2) Customers might be asking for you by name. I always send a Text Message with a copy-and-paste message indicating: "Hi. I'm Anthony your Walmart Drive and I'll be there shortly." More than half of my customers have a Personal Gate or live in a Gated Community. This is extremely mandatory. But I also include "Thank You Cards" with my name on them to push for more 5-star feedback left by customers. Now, I apparently have customers calling and asking for me by name because I actually take the time to care for the customer. So, the Manager has been trying to give me those orders.
      3) Availability and Common Travel Distance is actually affected into the algorithm. Think about it. If there's only 3 drivers in a 25 mile radius, then chances are all 3 of you will receive the order.
      4) Those Metrics that "don't matter" - they matter. Green Stats increases your chances of getting orders FIRST. However, it would appear that this isn't strictly towards "Good paying Orders," but includes the bad ones, as well. I try to take 1-2 bad ones per day to help the customers and my local store, but it also gets me into a "good status" with the store's Manager as she will push for better deliveries for me. It's like my reward for taking out the trash.
      5) Learned behavior. The app algorithm does appear to have the ability to learn your behavior, driving habits, and choices made. For example, I really really don't like doing Large or even Medium shopping orders. I prefer 20 items or less. I'll do curbside pickup all day, everyday, for 1-19 delivery addresses, but I'll strongly contemplate a 30 item shopping order and immediately decline 50 item or more shopping orders. So, if I ever get an order of that magnitude for Express Shop n Delivery, then I know the app is desperate as there must be NO ONE else in the area. lol

      I’ve noticed that when it says my zone is red, I get nothing. But then it’s NOT, that’s when I get orders.

      I have to be inside the store in my market to get consistent shopping offers, and consistently good shopping offers, largely due to over-saturation
      Yesterday was an exception as there were so few Spark workers, so I was getting round robin shopping offers one after another from 2 stores in my home market while many miles away
      Recently I was inside Walmart waiting for shopping offers yet getting none, only $8 4 stop curbside offers
      I have very good metrics, and I don't turn down many orders others turn down
      Two of my co-workers with bad metrics that turn down many, if not most orders were many miles away at another Walmart receiving well paying shopping offers for my store, not the store they were in, and my sister was 7 miles away receiving shopping offers for my preferred store as well

    • @ashleylynn8489
      @ashleylynn8489 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Youknowitsjenn The ratio of Spark workers to orders is what matters. and unfortunately when stores are busy there are often more Spark workers per offer than when it's not busy
      Walmart sends notifications about higher than expected demand which makes over-saturation even worse as it causes many that hadn't planned on working to work that day, or start earlier

    My area always has incentives for the 6am orders, but I have never got an order that early 😂. I now just wait until 7am to turn on spark!
    Also the 3 drop offs are starting to be the money makers. Most 3 drop offs in my area are $30 💰
