The bridge before Big Sur is Bixby Bridge and there is a state park there. Also a road goes over the mountain to Fort Hunter -Liggett, King City. Nacimiento Road. It offers some fantastic views on a clear day such as you had. Take it in sometime. It offers an opportunity to cross the central valley to the east without much traffic if at all. I lived a fair while in Santa Cruz and traveled to Morro Bay often to see family. There are lots roads on the ridges and crisscrossing the mountain. Boulder Creek, Alice's Restaurant, Woodson, Prescadero, Half Moon Bay all beautiful and famous areas far away from the maddening crowd. Take in Point Reyes Nat'l Seashore west of the Bay area. Go back in time. Be safe, have dun.
The fog generally doesn't lift til 4 in the afternoon. Very cool. Davenport, Surfer's Museum in Santa Cruz. Arriva's on the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Several other good eats as well. Park in front. The roller coasters. Also the Monarch butterflies winter there, gazillions of them.

So far yes, the F800gs was pretty good but the AT is a step above, I just came back from riding a rough trail and had a blast

the goal is to never have buyers' remorse in 2-3 months after the purchase.
