    That grin you had while going across the Golden Gate and through the tree though! That's how you know you have a passion for riding motorcycles. I would've been doing the same!

      Very true, only somebody that has the same passion can understand the pleasure of "just riding"

    Albe's I've Truly enjoyed following you on this journey... I and 4 friends from the Central Valley took the same trip starting from the Central Valley back in the late 70s ( yea I'm that old hahaha) Back then I was on a Kawasaki KZ1000............ From Seattle WA we headed East towards Montana and Yellowstone National Park past the Grand Tetons and back towards Yosemite National Park in Ca... It was an amazing Trip for a young buck.... Your trip will be one you wont soon forget.... HEY By Chance are you checking your Gas Millage on the Honda AT ? I am planning to get One but with DCT...( I'm old remember hahahaha) Just wondering what sort of distance I can expect from its 5 Gallon Tank.... HOPE the butt has Recoverd and thanks for the memories... 8-)

      Lol, the butt has recovered 🤣, I still dream of my trip, I can't quite remember the exact gas mileage but I talk about it in the last episode (5).
      Thanks for watching my videos, I'm in training now and super busy but I will be back at soon.
      BTW the Africa twin with DCT is a fantastic tourer 😀👍

    What bags do you have on there? Is there racks under them?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No rack, they are semi soft sport bags from Viking Bags, check out this albesadv.com/viking-axe-medium-sportbike-saddlebags/

    Hi Albe, I’m enjoying your trip and your channel. As a former BMW guy, did you consider the BMW r1250gs when you were looking for a new bike? Why did you chose the Africa Twin?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin, thanks for watching my videos, I never considered the r1250gs, I think they are popular, as adventure bikes, only because of the "Long way around", in my opinion they are overpriced and overestimated but that's just me, they are very good touring bikes though. As per why I chose the AT, mostly because it fitted me so well and I felt at home immediately, it also has most of the options I was looking for. I think I've made a few videos about it or maybe I thought about making a video and forgot 😁

      @@AlbesADV Im glad you are loving the Africa Twin. At the end of the day, it’s all about how the bike makes you feel. I upgraded from a F700gs to the R1250gs, and absolutely love it. It is so well balanced, and handles better than my F700gs (which I always thought handled great]. I would love to try the Africa Twin some day. It also seems like a fantastic bike. Enjoy! By the way, I agree that Long way Around was the best marketing decision that BMW ever made! I bet KTM is still kicking themselves for not jumping on that!

      🤣🤣 I agree, KTM missed out on that one for sure.

    • @AlbesADV

      Not yet, the only European trip was my trip to Rome with the Multistrada 950

    Hey Albe I have got to give you credit eating a breakfast burrito right before a long ride.. been there and I always seem to regret it ! Lol... great video i am enjoying the ride... I usually eat an " Italian breakfast " Cafe and dolce then eat power bars in between gas stations Hahaha.. Weak stomach...
