How do you save setting changes if you modify the sound in piano room...i find when you turn it off the piano and turn it on ,,, any changes in settings are lost ...and you have to go to piano room again to change it from default
Do the binaural samples only work with headphones or also with speakers? I'm going to connect a headphone amp to the AUX Out on the back of the piano and asked myself if the binaural samples also work this way.

Yes the Clavinova manual shows the CLP-745 is 200 watts (not 100 watts as was claimed in this video): 50 W + 50 W, x 2. And yes, my 745 seems to have solid wood (inside plastic shells) - so the keys are mostly wood which makes the action weight distribution much better than that of the 735's all-plastic keys.
Many thanks for the review. Does the new key action mean that the keys make less clunk when pressed down? I have a Clavinova 545, and there is a really quite loud 'thud' when you play. So even with headphones, this can be a problem in a small flat and disturbing for other people. Is the 745 significantly quieter?
The CLP-785 is a nice instrument. Seems like Yamaha did it again. Waited for KAWAI to innovate and come out with a landmark product and then reverse engineer it (less costly than developing it) and producing a nice instrument. I have a CA98 with 14+” wooden keys, a soundboard and individual key weighting. The CLP785 “feel” is excellent too - maybe even give it the edges, but not worth the $1500-$200 price difference. (A lot of advertising goes into the price of a YAMAHA.) The spruce speakers are a good idea and saves the manufacturing cost of a full soundboard like the KAWAI. Competition is good. I would like to see YAMAHA be the first to innovate something totally new though, but I don’t thing that is their R&D / manufacturing policy. They wait until a competitor (KAWAI) begins to affect their market, then mimics it - more or less. But a good product none-the-less.

@@calikokat100 Yes! The 545 produces a significant thudding sound when the keys are pressed, which easily travels into the next room.
