Love Bambi! I was 5 when I saw it reairing in a dollar theater on Deer Widow Weekend(opening weekend of rifle hunting in Utah). My mom took us to Bambi. When they showed his dad I stood on my chair and shouted, "I hope dad gets one just like him!" Everyone else was bawling over Bambi's mom, and I was hoping my dad got a great rack. Lol
Pretty sure the Bambi at Grizzly River Run in DCA was actually his dad, because Bambi's set of antlers wasn't that big by the end of Bambi. It was decently sized by the end of Bambi 2. That sequel is highly underrated BTW! Love that poster by Smoke Jumpers.
I don't care what anyone says, your fish joke was finny. A bit of trivia: we know Bambi is a boy because he is a whitetail deer and has antlers. But all reindeer (caribou) can have antlers. The males shed their antlers in early winter, but the females keep theirs.. meaning all of Santa's reindeer are girls. In around 1979/80, I and my coworkers, entered a contest called The Great Russian River Rat Race in Healdsburg California. The race was down the Russian river and ended at an outdoor park area for a big chicken barbeque. We all got matching t-shirts and we "raced" down the Russian River in silver canoes. The race was not really racing but more like a bunch of people, many of who never rowed a canoe in their lives, having a party down the river. If you caught up to another canoe you might try and tip them over. at the dinner was music and eating along with nursing sunburns. I wonder if there is a connection to this store
Two Disney characters I don’t see. humphrey the bear is he in the Humphrey shop? and Oswald the lucky Rabbit. Could it be because Oswald is now a public domain character now? I worked on Epic Mickey 2. Os is one of my favorites. You don’t see him around anymore.
