After accepting a online work order, going in to the game and selecting that order, you can see what that job will pay in the in game information window you see before driving it. Please refer to the following time stamp of this video: 06:58.
+Squirrel Yes i just wanted to inform people that you will see it in the game. I was thinking that there was no point in taking the work order, if i do not know how much it pays. This way i can accept a order, then reject it in game if the pay is crap. At least until they put in some kind of penalty for declining accepted orders anyway. :P But all this is good and i like the way it is shaping up. Now we just need to be able to create virtual trucking companies, and start building the legacy with our friends. :)
I actually tried that tyre in wet conditions thing. I was on the highway between Stockholm and Uppsala, and made a really fast turn because of a car in front of me, and I was sliding on the road for some moments! I've never done that before. :)
The online contracts are a stepping stone towards full integrated virtual trucking companies - making this already huge game bigger and more community orientated.
I'm glad that I have already been giving my better drivers better, more upgraded trucks. I was doing it just for show but now it will make some difference.
Another good thing i noticed about 1.22 is that they've changed the behavior of the gearbox. When you give throttle now it'll behave just like in real life, rather than adding 200 - 400 rpm.
I have always provided my drivers with top line Volvo's with 700 HP or better engines. Even though I have been playing this for over a year, I think this concept has helped me to progress to "Legend" (level 62). Most of my fleet are Volvo FH's except for three. Two of those are mods with VNL 660 and 780 and a rogue Freightliner that I drive myself. BTW, I modified that mod and stuck in a 700 HP engine, works great.
This is exactly why I gave all my drivers top of the line Scanias and Volvos with the expectation that it would eventually be implemented. Glad my gamble paid off. I just wonder if chassis setup will make a difference, I give them all 4x2s to save money there at least. But they all have 700+ HP engines and exclusive cabins.
An update of promise. Really excited for this, would be great if eventually SCS manage to get a self-sufficient economy in ETS2. Imagine if when the economy was running you could buy virtual assets as a way to maintain your company, which would contribute to the economy, would truly make this the best Sim around. I like how much the tires speak of future plans for the game with weather affecting road surface, and handling. If the tires show how much drag is created, this could mean wind is being thought of for future updates. Top ETS2 content as always, looking forward to more !
I really like these changes that they have made. It definitely makes me want to go play ETS2 more. In terms of "more efficient" that definitely is a bit vague. I think what they are referring to is the amount of money they get from jobs, but in the end we will have to wait for clarification from SCS. Great overview of the changes in the recent patch. Really appreciate it.
I think the last job on the job list where the code under 600KM was applied isn't a bug. Notice the job being in the back. It is the Land driving distance that matters. The ferry is not taken into account simply because you are not going to "drive" those kilometers!
let me see, 1,099KM 710 ferry distance "that means the driving distance is more then 600. no Paul XD that's not how calculus works...... 1,099-710=389 it says the 1099km as land distance but thats incorrect. its the total distance of the trip of that 1099 km you are on a ferry for 710km. leaving only 389km of driving.
MegaTNTCreeper you might want to double, no triple check that. if i go from amsterdam to london the total distance is 600. of which i would only drive about 300. besides the dutch translation of the game clearly says total distance.
+Lodewijk Vrije Land distance: 1099km Ferry distance: 710km. This means that total distance: 1809km and 1809>600. Plus that visual graphic clearly shows a distance greater than 389km of land driving.
Manu Leach you are wrong the English version of the game calls it "land distance" but it should say total distance. ive seen 3 different translations of the game. Dutch, German. and Russian. and they all say "total distance" not "land distance" therefore the total distance is 1099, of which 710 is ferry distance. leaving only 389km of land driving. try it on world of trucks, since it shows both distance driven and distance traveled. your total distance traveled would show 1099 and your driving distance would be 389.
Of course the change log is pretty big, but I was expecting you to mention "Fixed parked vehicles jumping". I hope that means trailers no longer jump when you enter the ferry!
+Brian G You continue where you left off, however the server time does not stop so if you're internet is disconnected for an hour then you will lose that time in your in-game job, which may make you late.
one of the things to come is: own trailers i guess and combinations cause they have told about it last year on there website also wen u hit the wot Jobs it says whit tour own material but that is also wen your doing normal jobs then you have to drive your own truck aswell
A bit late to the party but just found that if you buy a high end truck, then the hire drivers that appear for hire are also of high rating. I reckon that's the bit Squirrel was trying to identify but, yeah, that's that. Their higher skill set ensures you start making good returns from the very first job of the AI driver.
I've found the use of real time tricky. I took an online job and started it...but then life got in the way and I didn't return to it for a day or two. When I completed it the job was "late". Not a major issue but means I'll only take short jobs I can complete and not get penalised for. Just something to watch out for.
Paul, you should have took a stock truck because for the wheels, people new to the game may think it's a dot that belongs to the mod and not the new update. Great video though mate:)
1.22 seems good so far but I'm hoping that in future updates SCS introduce other certain "real life" circumstances like rtc's/road closures/delays/emergency service vehicles/flat tyres etc without requiring mods, as this would make ETS2 a lot more "realistic" and challenging.
I think I will stick to the straight freight....Then I will know how much I'm making in each delivery. Plus I like long distances, that's where the big money is. PS, Squirrel you are awesome in every video you create. I have learn lots of good thing just because of you...Keep the good work....One they I will fly to UK and meet personally. Thanks!
Paul, would you ever think of starting again from scratch (without mods)? Like a new player guide? I think it would be a good series and very interesting. Thanks
Hey Squirrel! Love your ETS2 videos (you got me into playing this game!). I have a quick question for you. You're using the Logitech G27 wheel/pedals right? I have the Logitech Driving Force wheel/pedals but looked at the G29 for an upgrade. However I find out they took out the horn button from the Driving Force... so my question - on the G27 which button do you have assigned to the horn... I just found it SO annoying they would skimp on the horn button on the G29 .... and when it is that expensive too...
I like the Online world of trucks contracts. Would be a little more interesting if they recorded how clean of a driver you were or how many speeding fines you have accumulated. Those stats could be there for all i know though. Was there any improvements with stutter that people including me briefly get every few minutes? I have noticed it in some of your vids also.
+guenther d You want real life situations? How about having government represented in the game so they can take the excess away with a tax? (sarcasm off)
They may have limited the speed but people will still use the console to teleport to deliver jobs :/ Good idea though now they need to add a feature to make companies and your "boss" can set you a job
I think the stats should be saved to the website normally, no special missions just stats saved so you can see how many tons of plums you have towed a cross Europe!
I would love if there was a little more of the strategic business part in the game. Right now its just an endless moneymachine with no goals and no ends. This could be SO much better.
Huge fan of you Paul! I have been watching your videos for almost a year. I love your Euro Truck videos! When will your next stream on twitch be, i have never been able to make one of those. Thank you, ad ill see you in the stream!
How do u have Promods and Poland Rebuilding loaded in with 1.22 doesn't it need to be updated? Or is that the new promods 2.0 only u have access to and it's updated for that. Also what is that road connecting Poland to Estonia? New promods as well?
Hello Paul, I'm wondering if you could send me a few links to find the DHL and different trucks and trailers that you have as I can't find them on the mod website
i know this vid is not really up to date but i tried to max my distance for my jobs like this viedo explains from 12:00 but it doesnt work for me, i still get jobs over 3000km long, is there another way to cghange this? and i know we got a slider bar now but if i set it on like 25% from the left side, i get only job in the same city for example rotterdam > rotterdam or berlin > berlin, or i get job from paris to freaking malmo or something, please help me out :D
+Squirrel Just a matter of personal satisfaction. They may be virtual drivers in a game, but I still think it's only fair to give them something nice to drive especially as they spend a lot of their time in it; it's all part of the game. And with 200 million, you could have a proper fleet of good quality trucks, all painted with your logo, in the world. Maybe you don't see them in the game (do you? I don't know, I don't have that many drivers yet), but it's still part of the virtual game to my mind. What else are you doing with the money? If you're just accumulating it, what's the point of that? I do hope that it becomes worthwhile in real (game) terms to buy better trucks, but I do it anyway.
+PetergdWard Your AI drivers don't even drive the truck. Their journey isn't even simulated to any degree other than a basic mathematical calculation where after the journey time has elapsed the job completes, the money is added to your account and some skill points are added to their profile. They never fail to deliver, their trucks never break down, they have no accidents, speeding fines or red light offences. They never even quit despite the fact you ignore them completely. It may make you feel better to give your AI drivers better trucks but up until this patch it made zero difference. As for my accrued money, I agree, I've told SCS that there is no end game currently. Once you reach around level 30 in this game you have more money than you know what to do with, have hired the maximum number of drivers which the game allows and there is nothing else to do career wise. They brought in Steam achievements to help with that, but there's nothing you can do with all your money. I used to have all my AI drivers in white Scanias with my squirrel logo but I stopped that because when I have to de-activate my Squirrel logo mod (usually because of a game patch) when I enable it again all my trucks revert back to red. I can't be bothered to do through every single AI driver, swap their truck with mine, skin up the truck and re-assign it back to them. If only SCS would allow me to assign a configured truck en-masse to all my drivers. Oh well, there's another feature request lol
+Squirrel I think the only way to measure this is to give the own drivers better trucks and set warp to a high simulation (warp speed) level and let them drive. On the other hand, we can look at the changed parameters in the *sii files in the base. But the first way will make it more fun (because of the floating KI Drivers around :D ) Hm, is there a simulation speed limit ingame? Ups, another feature request.. ;)
+Squirrel I had one of my drivers threaten to quit within 2 days because I messed up allocating the trucks and left her with nothing to drive. I don't know whether she'd follow through as I sorted it when I got the in-game email. It would be great if they did model the AI drivers' trucks, especially in multi-player where there's no other AI traffic. You get the 'last man on Earth' feeling sometimes in MP, you don't see anyone for ages.
why do we have to use console to set the max distance. just put a button... also it was not a bug. if the delivery is 1099km and you have 700km with a ferry, how much km are you actually driving? yea, less than 600.... so it was correct.
thx for this info vid on the update. Much handy, and made me want to play it again. i just have one question. Can i get the link to the truck and the mods for this truck? I like the volvos in this game, and i just bought a volvo xc70 for my self. thank you in advance.
alright mate i was just wondering it u would be able to do a video around weston super mare in the uk as iv watched all ur videos and there amazing its thx to u that i no a lote more about scanners and Volvo trucks and all the diffent countries that i havr never heared off in my life many thx mr k davis ( RuLe focuS)
Great overview!!! You are a "Rock Star". Noticed in 1.22 that adjacent trucks don't jump anymore at the Train Station or on the Ferries.
After accepting a online work order, going in to the game and selecting that order, you can see what that job will pay in the in game information window you see before driving it.
Please refer to the following time stamp of this video: 06:58.
Yea it shows you in the game but not online when you accept the job
+Squirrel Yes i just wanted to inform people that you will see it in the game.
I was thinking that there was no point in taking the work order, if i do not know how much it pays.
This way i can accept a order, then reject it in game if the pay is crap.

Those first seconds showed how wonderful finnish summer can be, constant rain :)
I actually tried that tyre in wet conditions thing. I was on the highway between Stockholm and Uppsala, and made a really fast turn because of a car in front of me, and I was sliding on the road for some moments! I've never done that before. :)
13:23 The driving distance is 400 km. 1099-710=389 Km
Nice heads up with the patch. Tks
Brilliant Vid, Thanks Squirrel. I'm amazed how far Eurotruck 2 has come. I hope they keep adding to it over the next few years.
5:30 When I saw Plums London to Cambridge at the top of the list, I immediately thought Michael Rosen.
The online contracts are a stepping stone towards full integrated virtual trucking companies - making this already huge game bigger and more community orientated.
the way you present your videos is great. always learning while watching your videos.
I'm glad that I have already been giving my better drivers better, more upgraded trucks. I was doing it just for show but now it will make some difference.

I think a nice touch would be a windscreen washer to clean the window. Like if you think the same.
That thunder sound at the beginning reminded me of the old Madden thunder sounds from the early 2000's.
As a finn.. the weather in the intro is very muchly correct
I can't wait until they let you put your company name on your truck and even create a logo for it, that would be awesome!
Finally our drives can count for something.
I did not realise the times are live. I saved and left came back next day and was 10 hours late.
let me see, 1,099KM 710 ferry distance "that means the driving distance is more then 600. no Paul XD that's not how calculus works......

+Lodewijk Vrije i was about to say the same
+Lodewijk Vrije No, 1099km is Land Distance, and 710km is ferry, so the total distance is 1809km
MegaTNTCreeper you might want to double, no triple check that. if i go from amsterdam to london the total distance is 600. of which i would only drive about 300. besides the dutch translation of the game clearly says total distance.

The Update Came Out On Tuesday 08/12/15 19:50
+GAMEZ FOR U GAMERZ not for me, still beta
+naturbur oh Have You Got Your Update Settings On Priority
+GAMEZ FOR U GAMERZ no i will try it
+naturbur Has It Worked
i'm not sure, it says version 1.22 but i'm not sure if it's beta or not
Of course the change log is pretty big, but I was expecting you to mention "Fixed parked vehicles jumping". I hope that means trailers no longer jump when you enter the ferry!
Thanks for the info, Squirrel!
I'm so jealous that you have these Raven rims. :D
It's so sad, that there is no chance to get these anymore :(
+BobSlasher SCS said they will make a Wheel DLC. Maybe we will get more of this. Hopefully ^^ And who knows? Christmas is still coming ;)
+Babbel Hannes (Babbelhannes) I really hope so! :D Because these rims are awesome. ^^
+BobSlasher Maybe they have another X-mas event this year so you get another chance to earn them. You never know.
+BobSlasher howd he even get them?
BobSlasher The Ravens DLC was just released a year ago and it just cost cheap on Steam.
I got a question.... What if during my run on a job I get disconnected from the Internet, will that cancel the job or progress?
+Brian G it will save the progress and where you are, and when you're back(with internet connection) you will be where you were before :D
+André Costa Oh ok, thanks
+Brian G You continue where you left off, however the server time does not stop so if you're internet is disconnected for an hour then you will lose that time in your in-game job, which may make you late.
Hi Squirrel another review well done mate, be well and keep the ETS 2 video's coming cheers!
Yeah it does show how much money your getting it says at 6:57 under the trailer named Job Income.
one of the things to come is: own trailers i guess and combinations cause they have told about it last year on there website also wen u hit the wot Jobs it says whit tour own material but that is also wen your doing normal jobs then you have to drive your own truck aswell

Nice review man. Thx for details of this good stuff patch.
Thanks!
Have you found any mods that that the 1.22 patch breaks?
You mentioned wheels getting broken, does it break AI traffic or truck mods?
Hello.. A small question..Do you have a DLC for your truck? (whells) +Squirrel
great vid it really helped
Paul, would you ever think of starting again from scratch (without mods)? Like a new player guide? I think it would be a good series and very interesting.
Thanks
squirrel what scaling do you run your game at?
Hey Squirrel! Love your ETS2 videos (you got me into playing this game!). I have a quick question for you. You're using the Logitech G27 wheel/pedals right? I have the Logitech Driving Force wheel/pedals but looked at the G29 for an upgrade.
When you have 230 million it's worth getting your drivers better trucks, what else can you spend it on?
+guenther d You want real life situations? How about having government represented in the game so they can take the excess away with a tax? (sarcasm off)
They may have limited the speed but people will still use the console to teleport to deliver jobs :/ Good idea though now they need to add a feature to make companies and your "boss" can set you a job
What graphics card do you use? I have just ordered a gtx 980. My old one was a gtx 770 so I was wondering what you use
Squirrel, what are your thoughts on American Truck sim?
(edit) how do you pronounce renault?
+Fidel Martinez (lightningblites) Ren-alt or thats how i say it at least.
+Squirrel What mod is the company logos?
I think the stats should be saved to the website normally, no special missions just stats saved so you can see how many tons of plums you have towed a cross Europe!
Thanks so much! Was wondering about the paint job thing
You have the G27 wheel right? Do you know how to solve the centerpoint issue?
I'd like to see you take a Renault on slick tires on the test track.
I would love if there was a little more of the strategic business part in the game. Right now its just an endless moneymachine with no goals and no ends. This could be SO much better.
+Squirrel Thanks For Telling Us How To Download The Public BETA Version ;) Happy TRUCKING
Bøstrand transport, not bad using a skin with a Norwegian haulage company.
Huge fan of you Paul! I have been watching your videos for almost a year. I love your Euro Truck videos! When will your next stream on twitch be, i have never been able to make one of those. Thank you, ad ill see you in the stream!
Cool vid! Are you planning to do anything with Matt Davies(FSX) in the future?
very well explained cheers paul GG
Am I the only one SOOOO EXCITED for this update!
Nice review Paul. As good as always.
Do you know when the next TMCN video is comming online?
Which map mod do you use to increase the number of cities? and change the map itself Sqirrel? (Or other who knows what he uses)
How do u have Promods and Poland Rebuilding loaded in with 1.22 doesn't it need to be updated? Or is that the new promods 2.0 only u have access to and it's updated for that. Also what is that road connecting Poland to Estonia? New promods as well?
Yes, if you watch the Sunday Night Truckin' livestream you would have been watching me test ProMods 2.0 beta for the last few weeks
Squirrel thx paul
Thx for the review

Paul, where can i find that DHL paint job?
Hello Paul, I'm wondering if you could send me a few links to find the DHL and different trucks and trailers that you have as I can't find them on the mod website
What's the truck you are using? Is it modded or a part of the game?
+( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Google for OHAHA VOLVO ETS2
i know this vid is not really up to date but i tried to max my distance for my jobs like this viedo explains from 12:00 but it doesnt work for me, i still get jobs over 3000km long, is there another way to cghange this? and i know we got a slider bar now but if i set it on like 25% from the left side, i get only job in the same city for example rotterdam > rotterdam or berlin > berlin, or i get job from paris to freaking malmo or something, please help me out :D

okay thanks for the information!.
Hi squirrel, loved the video as usual, will we be seeing more OMSI videos soon?
my problem is the paint shop does not have any of my truck skins at all how do i fix this
Wait, you have over 200 million euros, and you're too mean to spend a little of that on decent trucks for your drivers? Good grief!
What's the point when it never made any difference?
+Squirrel Just a matter of personal satisfaction. They may be virtual drivers in a game, but I still think it's only fair to give them something nice to drive especially as they spend a lot of their time in it; it's all part of the game. It would be great if they did model the AI drivers' trucks, especially in multi-player where there's no other AI traffic. You get the 'last man on Earth' feeling sometimes in MP, you don't see anyone for ages.
getting ets2 full game and what's the best way to earn levels for trucks and upgrades
Hi Squirrel.Where do you find the adress for your PO Box.Thanks,Theo
What is the Aldi Shop Mod?
why do we have to use console to set the max distance. just put a button... also it was not a bug. if the delivery is 1099km and you have 700km with a ferry, how much km are you actually driving? yea, less than 600.... so it was correct.
