Hell i am even able to pick a single thing to eat for weeks and nothing bad will happen physically only mentally
Also healthy food is a lie just use supplements to get what your missing and enjoy being able to eat anything you want without having to balance it (unless you have health issue’s)
CommanderWolfyX this is so wrong, just because it works for you doesn’t mean it’s going to work for most people, it’s calories in calories out. Also, some people aren’t able to get full.
It's the sodium content that makes this so bad for you.

Its actually pretty cheap - just buy some not-the-lowest quality beef round, cut it in small pieces (depends on your preference), marinate it in soy sauce+black pepper (or in bourbon and brown sugar :D) and put it on skewer. Then put your oven to hot air, low temp and just hang in on there on the rack or something. 12+ hours and its done. You are basicaly paying for meat, bit of sauce and electricity.

I must taste AMAZING, then.
It's made about 30 miles north of where I live. I remember when it was only sold locally. It's pure protein and great for hunting and fishing trips in remote places, because it stays fresh and is handy. We snack on it during the day and your energy doesn't crash. Drink plenty of water with it. The paper pouch is there to keep moisture from turning it bad. But, there's no worries with quality jerky.

Actually, those little packets are oxygen absorbers. It keeps the jerky from going rancid.

It’s not a European thing, but South African Biltong is pretty darn good.
Yeah, its basically a food created to last long while you're crossing large swaths of the american continent. Pretty sure it was created by the native american population, and we immediately understood its gloriousness, because we were using hard tack, which is just a harder and dryer crouton with less flavor.
And to this day it remains the primary source of energy during outdoor activities and long road trips across state lines.
It's not very popular in Ireland, so not many shops have it, and even the ones that do don't have many different varieties or brands. It is a thing outside of America, it's just not as popular.

Homemade jerky is the best, makes it hard to eat the store bought stuff. Venison makes great jerky, but just regular old beef roasts are good, too. You just slice it thin, soak it for a couple days in big zip locks of your fave marinade, and then use a dehydrator or just an oven set at a low temp to dry it. I used to make big bags of it and send it to my hubby when he was in Iraq, it traveled a lot better than cookies, lol. The bad part was there was never much left for him after everyone would "share" it. 😁
Yep, that's the brand I get usually (the original, jalapeno, and black pepper). One of the few without a lot of preservatives and whatever else.
I love jerky but it's so expensive I only get it as a special snack.

Buy in bulk. If you hit the sales right, you can get the pound bags for $12. Given it takes something like 3-4 pounds of "wet" beef to make a pound of jerky, that's basically the same as buying the steak and drying it yourself.
I tried it for the first time two weeks ago, because I have never seen it in my country (Norway) but I found it in Sweden and it cost 5 usd. I bet if I found it in Norway it would cost 10-15 usd atleast (everything imported is like 3x more expensive in Norway compared to Sweden)

I bring my favourite locally made jerky on a hike, camping and such. it can be shredded, cut and rehydrated in a soup, stew or ramen. or seriously just like it is.
