it hurts knowing that when she ran she didn’t even take a second to think about jumping . she went in full force because the pain she was having was too great that she wanted to get rid of it all as soon as she could . when gu sunxi was crying next her after jumping in to save her , it really showed how he was the only one who cared about her and he was the only one who made her happy even if it was for a small amount of time . this had me balling balling

Qi Ming's white and Yi Yao's black are intertwined and can only be gray, but there is always a color in Sensi's world that can help Yi Yao beat the black.
The ending was a cliffhanger but if you look closely to the scenes after the drowning you’ll see the clues that she didn’t make it out alive. 1. The flowers left by Qi Ming has a white ribbon and I read that it signifies mourning due to loss 2. Yi yao’s mother filled with grief and regrets sold the massage table also she was wearing black. 3. Sunxi transferred school 4. No updates with Yi Yao’s recovery just... 5. The final scene Yi Yao (wearing white) was on the pond where Sunxi saved her spitting quotes about grief, and acceptance etc. But what hits me the most was when she saw Sunxi on the other side; she smiled but we never get to see Sunxi’s face. She saw him but he never really saw her. He transferred school but he went back to that very pond to reminisce and grieve about Yi yao since that was their special place.
at the end she didn't see Sunxi she saw her dead father whom was wearing the green hoodie at the begging of the movie, this is the biggest proof that she didnt live

The movie is so sad it made me cry so much but its meaningful too. The painful events that Yi Yao had gone through does not only affect her, but also Gu Sunxi. Sunxi lost his twin sister, got her girlfriend framed up for something she didn't do and she also killed herself. Yi Yao had experience nothing but pain in her life not until she met Gu Sunxi that gave her life some sunshine for a short period of time. This movie also tells that you can only know if a person is true to you not because of material things that they give but its from the trust and love that you give on that person. Notice how Yi Yao never smiles on Gu Ming and even to other people around her but Gu Sunxi made her smile.

I adore Gu Sunxi. He was so kind and generous. He never left Yi Yao's side even he lost the closest girl in his life - his twin sister, Senxiang. This means that he really cares about Yi Yao and he really love her. Salute, Sunxi! My favorite, Yi Yao. She was so good in her acting skills. The way she showed her emotions was so good. But it was so sad that she had to reach the point where she needed to end her life not just to prove that she didn't killed Sunxi's sister (Senxiang) but to flee from everything. To stop the pain. I was so hurt while watching because she suffered too much. But I salute her also, she's great! Qi Ming, Yi Yao's childhood friend is a good one too. I don't know if he had feelings for Yi Yao because he never mentioned it. He was so kind because he even stole from his father's money just to help his childhood friend. Although, he broke down when Senxiang died that made him forget about Yi Yao. He left Yi Yao in her most difficult time but I understand him. He's confused and broken because of what happened. He didn't know whom to trust and to believe because of the rumors - he even didn't believe on Yi Yao. But in the end, he realized that he need to be on his childhood friend's side, especially when Yi Yao is committing suicide. I still salute him! Overall, the story was so great! It made me cry a lot and it really taught us a lesson about bullying. That we should not bully and we should not tolerate violence, especially in schools. Because these are very harmful to anyone's health - mental, emotional and physical. Bullying could make someone suffer a higher level of depression and anxiety that could lead to serious cases, and the worst is, death. So, this movie's message to us is to study and understand why we must stop bullying at all times. Salute to the team!

Her mom owns a massage place and remember when the man always came for a massage and would take a shower...yeah he used the same towel her daughter used and that is how the disease travelled and her mom realized that when she said that she didn't do anything or use public bathrooms or use dirty towels... This is indeed the best movie about school bullying I love the fact that she fought till the end and when the bullies hit her she hit them back ... also , her face when she went to school after her mom held her hand how she was confident and bright even students were bullying her as always... the way she explained her pain to Qi ming especially when she said " I wanna be one of you" ... Every detail in the film was so touching but the river scene really hits different When she said " you know who killed me " Also their acting is perfect This movie proves that C drama/film can be more than just a stereotype rom-com drama
The saddest person left in the movie was Sunxi, how then he did nothing wrong but lost two of his loved one. His beloved sister and his girlfriend. Besides, as her debut, Ren Min did play her character outstandingly in this movie👏👏👏👏
Sunxi saved her twice, believed her when she said she didn't get the virus through intercourse, stayed by her side when she was being bullied, encouraged her to stand up for herself because the bullies won't stop if she just stands there, and sided with her in her most desperate state so she wouldn't jump. Ming her so called best friend left her side when she was being bullied, tried to talk her down on fighting back when she being obnoxiously bullied, in a twist way believed she caused the disease in a nasty way, and only came to her aid when she finally ran at the end. Though I was kind of mad at Sunxi for like 2 mins when he left Yao side I reminded myself that there was concrete evidence against but as well as that was his twin sister, a family member he would switches places with if he could. But when it came down to when she was going to end it all he sided with her whether she did it or not, he didn't want to lose another important person in his life. Moreover, if I were to meet Ming it would be on sight. Yao was his "best friend" or "someone he grew up with" but he decided to turn his back on her when she needed someone most twice and each time not coming to her aid until the very end. He turned a blind eye to her bullying and even scolded her when she fought back against her bullies. He's a shitty person and he was one of the reasons for her death.

Appreciate those things, and suddenly your sadness will feel smaller and your happiness will grow larger. This movie made me shed in tears.
This girl is the most talented actress I have ever seen in my life. I have never cried nor connected to a movie the way I did today..the way she carries her part, I could really feel the emotions that she was portraying..it got me tearing up the entire time😭 I would love to see more of her work.
It was just an idea given to us by the producer that yiyao did finally had her peace and that peace was given to her to the same place where she and Gu sunxi met . It was like she was watching herself in her happy state when she was alive . That at that moment in her life she was happy . 😊

I almost cried watching this movie, especially when Yi Yao jumped into the ocean at the end. One of the best movies I have watched so far, it was emotional and moving!
Why no one talk ab that one girl who want to stand up and fight back for yi yao? Well, at least she slapped one of the bully at the river scene. This should have a sequel seriously.
I think that girl represents the by-standers that act after everything goes south. She wanted to help, but never actually did bc of her own fear of getting bullied. She will probably make up for how she ignored the bullying Yi Yao received by never letting them forget of what they did, and I guess if something like that happens again she'll be the first to step up, instead of cowering in fear.

this movie especially the ending puts a lot of things into perspective, its message was very straightforward and powerful. people casually mistreat people all the time, and having been on the end of that mistreatment before during the time i spent in school it really makes me wonder if any of them remember their mistreatment because i do. even years later, i do. its very fresh in my mind. it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that the people who dished out that mistreatment likely don't remember it at all. its sick that people like that are allowed to live believing they havent wronged others like that.
I feel bad cause when this happens in real life people say “I don’t remember.” “I didn’t know she would feel bad.” “I didn’t know she would be like this.” It’s sad what world we live in that some people think killing themselves is the only way out.

I’ve watched this movie multiple times since 2019 and the scene of Yi Yao and her mom always make me cry. She got sick with a sexually transmitted disease from one of her mom client who uses her towel. And when her mom realized her fault she tried to make up to her. Her bully Tang Xiaomi hired a couple of guys to scare Senxiang but accidentally killed her. Yi Yao died in the end. Her mom sad face sells the massage bed and Qi Ming left flowers on Yi Yao’s house with a white ribbon that symbolizes death. And Sunxi moved to a different school. Still a sad ending.

So thankful tiktok showed me this master piece, simple words cut deeper and have a heavy meaning especially when there's still face to face classes. There were only 3 moments that the sun appeared in her life,the first one when she was with her father and mother in the amusement park,the second when she was with Sunxi and the third when her mother took her hand to go to the hospital! God this film was too heavy and emotional, it's been two days since I saw it and I needed time to recover from this! It's not only abt the bullying but and for the way that some people know only to preach morals when they don't even put themselves in others shoes or are in the same situation with others! That line is so powerfully and I’m glad you brought it up. It shows how the people who do the bullying/tormenting don’t want to take responsibility for their words and actions as well as how they never realised how much pain and suffering it caused her. They use the “i was kidding”/ “it was a joke” because once they realised what they’ve done they don’t have the guts to admit it and apologise.

it hurts knowing that when she ran she didn’t even take a second to think about jumping . she went in full force because the pain she was having was too great that she wanted to get rid of it all as soon as she could . when gu sunxi was crying next her after jumping in to save her , it really showed how he was the only one who cared about her and he was the only one who made her happy even if it was for a small amount of time . this had me balling balling

I really couldn't digest the fact that her childhood friend didn't believe her.
The ending was a cliffhanger but if you look closely to the scenes after the drowning you’ll see the clues that she didn’t make it out alive. 1. The flowers left by Qi Ming has a white ribbon and I read that it signifies mourning due to loss 2. Yi yao’s mother filled with grief and regrets sold the massage table also she was wearing black. 3. Sunxi transferred school 4. No updates with Yi Yao’s recovery just... 5. The final scene Yi Yao (wearing white) was on the pond where Sunxi saved her spitting quotes about grief, and acceptance etc. But what hits me the most was when she saw Sunxi on the other side; she smiled but we never get to see Sunxi’s face. She saw him but he never really saw her. He transferred school but he went back to that very pond to reminisce and grieve about Yi yao since that was their special place.
at the end she didn't see Sunxi she saw her dead father whom was wearing the green hoodie at the begging of the movie, this is the biggest proof that she didnt live

This movie is a realistic story because it goes to show how many people are still ignorant about disease, illness, mental health, just like ethnicity and races. But it goes to show how someone you barely met or who knows you will stick by you in your toughest moments. I know everyone needs a real friend like Sunxi.

I’m so angry at those students because it is real. It’s so real and so many do that and lead people to the same position. She deserves so much better and I hope her soul will be happy when Sunxi comes to get her.
The movie is so sad it made me cry so much but its meaningful too. The painful events that Yi Yao had gone through does not only affect her, but also Gu Sunxi. Sunxi lost his twin sister, got her girlfriend framed up for something she didn't do and she also killed herself. Yi Yao had experience nothing but pain in her life not until she met Gu Sunxi that gave her life some sunshine for a short period of time. This movie also tells that you can only know if a person is true to you not because of material things that they give but its from the trust and love that you give on that person. Notice how Yi Yao never smiles on Gu Ming and even to other people around her but Gu Sunxi made her smile.

I adore Gu Sunxi. He was so kind and generous. He never left Yi Yao's side even he lost the closest girl in his life - his twin sister, Senxiang. This means that he really cares about Yi Yao and he really love her. Salute, Sunxi!
My favorite, Yi Yao. She was so good in her acting skills. The way she showed her emotions was so good. But it was so sad that she had to reach the point where she needed to end her life not just to prove that she didn't killed Sunxi's sister (Senxiang) but to flee from everything. To stop the pain. I was so hurt while watching because she suffered too much. But I salute her also, she's great!
Qi Ming, Yi Yao's childhood friend is a good one too. I don't know if he had feelings for Yi Yao because he never mentioned it. He was so kind because he even stole from his father's money just to help his childhood friend. Although, he broke down when Senxiang died that made him forget about Yi Yao. He left Yi Yao in her most difficult time but I understand him. He's confused and broken because of what happened. He didn't know whom to trust and to believe because of the rumors - he even didn't believe on Yi Yao. But in the end, he realized that he need to be on his childhood friend's side, especially when Yi Yao is committing suicide. I still salute him!
Overall, the story was so great! It made me cry a lot and it really taught us a lesson about bullying. That we should not bully and we should not tolerate violence, especially in schools. Because these are very harmful to anyone's health - mental, emotional and physical. Bullying could make someone suffer a higher level of depression and anxiety that could lead to serious cases, and the worst is, death. So, this movie's message to us is to study and understand why we must stop bullying at all times. Salute to the team!

Sunxi saved her twice, believed her when she said she didn't get the virus through intercourse, stayed by her side when she was being bullied, encouraged her to stand up for herself because the bullies won't stop if she just stands there, and sided with her in her most desperate state so she wouldn't jump.
Ming her so called best friend left her side when she was being bullied, tried to talk her down on fighting back when she being obnoxiously bullied, in a twist way believed she caused the disease in a nasty way, and only came to her aid when she finally ran at the end.
Though I was kind of mad at Sunxi for like 2 mins when he left Yao side I reminded myself that there was concrete evidence against but as well as that was his twin sister, a family member he would switches places with if he could. But when it came down to when she was going to end it all he sided with her whether she did it or not, he didn't want to lose another important person in his life. Moreover, if I were to meet Ming it would be on sight. Yao was his "best friend" or "someone he grew up with" but he decided to turn his back on her when she needed someone most twice and each time not coming to her aid until the very end. He turned a blind eye to her bullying and even scolded her when she fought back against her bullies. He's a shitty person and he was one of the reasons for her death.
I'm quite disappointed to Qi Ming they are childhood friends so he must know her personality and believe in her but he just left her and doesn't believe her, i like sunxi even he was hurt about her sister's death he stood up for her and believe her.

Appreciate those things, and suddenly your sadness will feel smaller and your happiness will grow larger. This movie made me shed in tears.

Why no one talk ab that one girl who want to stand up and fight back for yi yao? Well, at least she slapped one of the bully at the river scene. This should have a sequel seriously.
I think that girl represents the by-standers that act after everything goes south. She wanted to help, but never actually did bc of her own fear of getting bullied. She will probably make up for how she ignored the bullying Yi Yao received by never letting them forget of what they did, and I guess if something like that happens again she'll be the first to step up, instead of cowering in fear.

Life is hard when you got bullied. People always said "move on , it's already passed" but the scars they left in our heart and trauma in our head will never get cured. Everyday the same scenario will always play in the head. It sucks. It's really sucks when we get bully.

10/10, amazing movie. The emotions, the meaning, the lessons, this movie is so deep. As a person who got bullied before and as someone who has no one to rely on during my hardest times, i can relate to this. I cried.

I seriously dislike her "best friend" QiMing... Absolute wasteman... Never tried to be there for her even when she told him about the bullying and he was so quick to judge and blame her when she found out about the disease... On a side note the look of realization on all her bullies' faces when she does jump is priceless especially after they weren't taking it seriously in the beginning
Exactly .. like how do you claim to be someone’s friend but leave them or turn your back on them without listening to them. Even if the whole world is against them as a genuine friend you should have their back.

I sobbed hysterically, this movie is beautiful. I could relate a little too much and I think so many other people should see this movie.

I believe there is no one you can put your trust in, cause at the worst times even the most trusted and close people might leave you. You need to be self dependent, at least you would save yourself from experiencing the pain of being betrayed.

The fact that she jumped into the ocean just to prove them that she isn't a murder and because she's tired of being bullied is so heartbreaking, and even more because she died, but at least she is happy now.🥺🤧

this movie especially the ending puts a lot of things into perspective, its message was very straightforward and powerful. people casually mistreat people all the time, and having been on the end of that mistreatment before during the time i spent in school it really makes me wonder if any of them remember their mistreatment because i do. even years later, i do. its very fresh in my mind. it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that the people who dished out that mistreatment likely don't remember it at all. its sick that people like that are allowed to live believing they havent wronged others like that.

I’ve watched this movie multiple times since 2019 and the scene of Yi Yao and her mom always make me cry. She got sick with a sexually transmitted disease from one of her mom client who uses her towel. And when her mom realized her fault she tried to make up to her.
Her bully Tang Xiaomi hired a couple of guys to scare Senxiang but accidentally killed her.
Yi Yao died in the end. Her mom sad face sells the massage bed and Qi Ming left flowers on Yi Yao’s house with a white ribbon that symbolizes death. And Sunxi moved to a different school. Still a sad ending.
Remind me never to read the comments during a movie again🙄

So thankful tiktok showed me this master piece, simple words cut deeper and have a heavy meaning especially when there's still face to face classes. Being bullied by someone have been so very difficult, especially when you scream asking for help but no one believes you because you're in the lowrank in society. How sad people only look at the bright side, the one who think they have use of, the one who belongs in the upperclass, poor mindset.

There were only 3 moments that the sun appeared in her life,the first one when she was with her father and mother in the amusement park,the second when she was with Sunxi and the third when her mother took her hand to go to the hospital!
God this film was too heavy and emotional, it's been two days since I saw it and I needed time to recover from this! It's not only abt the bullying but and for the way that some people know only to preach morals when they don't even put themselves in others shoes or are in the same situation with others! She was strong and endured so much,she did well 😢😢😭 I hope that people who saw this movie will learn some value lessons from it.

That line is so powerfully and I’m glad you brought it up. It shows how the people who do the bullying/tormenting don’t want to take responsibility for their words and actions as well as how they never realised how much pain and suffering it caused her. They use the “i was kidding”/ “it was a joke” because once they realised what they’ve done they don’t have the guts to admit it and apologise.
