Face touching is a guilty. Face touching. Folding arms. Touching hair. It’s personal comforting thing. His answer was far too long winded. A simple. “ Ofcourse I bloody didn’t”. And the way she looked towards him. She was pondering.

    • @pswizzle9392

Imagine (as lets face it our guess is as good as anyones) the additional anxiety/depression/stress that they would be subject to if they didn’t do it but are being considered suspects. All of these can affect a lie detector test. The problem with polygraphs is that although they are good at detecting a stress response, other factors besides guilt from not telling the truth may be present, like having anxiety and nervousness. When you are nervous and anxious, you will set-off the stress response.
In matters like this putting someones faith in the hands of a machine thats has questionable accuracy is unjust and unfair.

not allowed in court, everyone knows that already !!!The public still want them to take one tho. They don't give a fuck if they are all allowed in court. Usually when someone tells the truth they don't need to try to convince anyone with a detailed response. A simple "no" to that question would have been the normal response. The fact that GM gave a long and detailed response and the finished with emphasising the "no" at the end suggests he isn't being truthful.

The fact that he is floundering for a response instead of a straight out no I did not kill my daughter says a lot. The head movements, the shifty eyes, the way Kate looks at him like she is waiting for him to answer that question because it doesn’t apply to her is all very suspicious. Plus the way he is fighting of a smile when he answers makes my blood boil. They definitely had something to do with her going missing, weather they killed her or conducted in her disappearance they are guilty. Who laughs and jokes while waiting for a possible phone call off your child’s abductor? If she was truly missing and he truly cared he would be devastated not laughing and joking.

The supect raped an old woman near the hotel and a kid. in addtiotion a young woman called the police that she was raped by a young men whom she described as similar and german. all cases happened on similar appartments on the first floor in the area.
in germany they found videos and data of those crimes or similar and people who knew him went to the police and told them that the suspect admitted the murder of Madeleine.

The mother's initial reaction right after the question was to shake her head a little , then she smiled as she turned to look at her husband. Shaking her head very passively indicates that her instincts normally are to tell the truth about things in general, so she had to go against her nature but could only manage a barely noticeable denial. Looking at her husband right away without saying a word indicates that she's passing off the duty to lie to him,...again due to her natural instinct to be honest. I almost felt as if she was looking at him out of curiosity; wondering how he will handle the situation and exactly what he will say. We all know that women are more emotional, so I might have expected her to blurt out a denial in a knee jerk emotional release. Apparently there are exceptions to the notion that women are more emotional.
His performance was far more indicting. His verbal response was a disaster in that he choked out the denial so nervously, and halted one sentence because he immediately knew that he had used the wrong words. I'm referring to when he said,....' you know, there's nothing with any logic that could',....he stopped right there and changed course a bit. I want to know what he was going to say after,....'that could',......I think he was going to say 'prove',............An innocent man in his situation wouldn't be hiding behind a lack of proof to defend himself. He more likely would have simply said 'no',...or maybe,... 'hell no'. His foremost emotion should have been a bit of anger,.... accompanied with a firm denial and a strong stare at the person asking him that question. Very often the look in a person's eyes can reveal the truth, especially if the words and demeanor match what the eyes are saying.
His initial response was very weak and unconvincing, and his nervous speech and mannerisms are the trifecta of mistakes made by a guilty man. Did he suddenly develop an itch on his face by coincidence, or was it a subconscious release of the truth? I seriously doubt I would be rubbing an itch at that moment, and nervous hand gestures are thought of as an indication of guilt. I think that the young ladies facial expression was partially responsible for his nervousness. The look on her face tells me that she wanted to say,.........I know damn well you're guilty,........why did you kill your daughter?

I agree, before I read on and when you said you want to know what he was going to say after, I stopped and pondered the same on my own for a moment and I also came up with "prove that we did that". As if he'd been upset that someone would ask him that question. But not emotional "this person thinks I killed my daughter" kind of upset. Rather "I thought we went through this last week" kind of upset, like with misbehaving employee that you can't believe brought you wrong coffee again - when you feel you are way too important to be treated like that (but when actually you suspect someone might question you any time so you are also fragile at any sign it's happening). My gut says that because there were no proof, he felt entitled to better treatment - much like guy at office would feel entitled to that, out of all the people, you remember his personal coffee taste. And this is why he was about to blurt badly thought out, "can't believe you are doing this to ME" spirited reply full of fragile surprise that is poorly veiled behind either "I am your boss, I have got a right to..." or "I'm innocent before law, I have got a right to...". Halfway through he realized couple of things so obviously he couldn't finish that. It would have given us too good insight into his mind if he stood there arguing about his position and treatment he feels entitled to, and argued there wasn't proof.

    Body language...
Scratches by his nose - to buy himself another second to think of his answer.
Elaborating on his answer "no" - a simple NO would do but he goes into there being no evidence to show that they did kill Madeleine.
You just have to TRY & imagine if someone asked you that, you would say no & if you were elaborating at all, it would probably be more passion of "I adore my daughter" etc, rather than saying about the evidence not pointing at them having killed her. If you hadn't killed her then why would you mention evidence? Of course there would be no evidence. But the McCanns are grateful that there is no evidence so that is why he highlights it.
"Emphatic no" - a no is a no.

Wow, that was very bizarre. The fact that he says "never" is an odd choice to me. That seems like it would be a response to a question about a repeatable action. Like "do you ever eat cake?" -no, never. Then he says something along the lines of needing to ask why, *who*, etc. The interviewer clearly asks did You do it?

He scratched his nose. Just after he said no , the pinoccchio effect. He moved his whole body language away from his wife. Showing he wants to escape the question because the person next to him knows the truth. A normal father would of just said " no " not a whole defensive mechanism to make himself feel better for what he did.

  • @moonshinemarsh

A “no” would have sufficed. Trying to overcompensate with the answer is what raises suspicion. And the “no, never.” is just an odd thing to say. Note how in many documentaries and clips, this has been altered to just the “no, that’s an emphatic no.” - which in this case would have been fine to say on it’s own. But the fact he had to explain himself.. guilty as sin.

these two people I find very creepy, it is called " uncanny valley" in psychology terms, there is something totally off in their behaviour and the way they respond, and they have been like that throughout. I think they are both arrogant narcissists and seem to have shown little empathy or concern, they are also just far too controlled and mannered, they come across as not particularly nice people, my personal view is that they are responsible for their daughter's death and they have disposed of her body, they have entered into a pact with each other to maintain a story about abduction, they just don't want to go to prison being the main reason for their fictional account of events.

This didn’t look convincing you know. Why did she look at him first. I’d have been outraged personally if such a stupid question was asked. Even if it’s a question that should be asked. And I’d defo not have left the kids alone either and then go for a meal and drink. When you have kids you do things with the kids. It’s not an adult holiday. So you always stay with your kids. FACT
