What was the reason for going with the 371 piston from the 268? Did you make any other changes? The reason i am asking is that I put a 268 piston in my blue g372xp. I stacked 3 base gaskets and ended up with 160 intake duration, 155 exhaust, .025 squish. I also unshrouded the botttom of the transfers and modded my exhaust to 3/4 id by 3 inch. I have some .006 base gaskets coming , next plan is to bring squish to about .017. I thought the 371 piston was the same deck height as the 372? Anyway that saw sounds very good. Edit: rewatched and heard that you shaved the base and restored your port numbers?

awesome for a clone so 371 piston single ring im guessing i been thinking on doing that to my 372 is there any hight difference in cylinder can i just put a 371 piston in 372 topend or should i get a 371 topend also was thinking on grinding the skirts out the cylinder will i have to mess with timing

It made less power on the 268 piston 7.5 build I am very happy with the 8.7 hp it's now making with 371xp piston build

Yeah, the NT 372’s won’t run like this. They just ain’t there yet with Husky clones. I know a guy that could turn one up though🤔

First I built it with a 268 piston it made 7.5hp then whent back in machine the base down to.fit 371 piston back in it goes to the dyno next week
