My favorite track from this master piece called "Impermanent resonance". Also, this album makes me remember the best time of my life linving 3.5 years in Texas. It helped me "surving" the big distance from my hometown in Brazil. Thank you James and the band.
Great song from a great Canadian singer. Some of the greatest sounding ROCK guitars that I ever heard were on James La Brie's "Elements Of Persuasion" CD, courtesy of the genius of Rich Chycki and his understanding of guitar and audio engineering. - Rich Chycki is an electronics GOD !!!! This song should be all over Rock Radio, it is an anthem and is massive in its melodic and chordal content. What an uplifting piece of music. Cheers to you Mr La Brie !!!
EoP is one of the best metal albums of all time. This song gets me excited for the new album. James' solo albums IMHO destroy anything DT have done for years. Keep up the amazing work Matt, James, Marco, Peter and Ray! Thank god for you guys bringing us the music we love!
The Lyrics is awesome, the metaphor/allegory speaks too much of someone you really dig in to, like being in a friendzone yeah? one of the best music and lyrics ever..
The lyrics on this track were not penned from James Labrie, but actually from Matt Guillory, his keyboardist. And depending on the way you interpret them, I think those lyrics are awesome.
You're clearly new to James' music. He's always had a couple ballads like this on his solo albums. Elements of Persuasion had "Lost", "Smashed" and "Slightly Out of Reach". Static Impulse had "Euphoric", "Just Watch Me" and "Coming Home". Impermanent Resonance has this.
I can't wait until this album releases. The last two albums have been incredible, and I'm thoroughly enjoying all the songs that have been released so far.

You're lost in outer space And I don't mean to burst your balloon Put Yourself in my place While you orbit around the Moon You know I've tried my best You never gave the time of day And now you're out of breath And heading across the Milky Way Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Shake Off The Stardust Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Just not On Venus Don't make it any worse Just Throw it in reverse Come On Come On Come On Down To Earth Gotta get your feet Back on the ground Back on the ground Back on the ground Riding a solar wind As you leave to saturn's rings You dig your heels in But that's not gonna solve a thing You know I've tried my best You never gave the time of day And now you're out of breath And heading across the Milky Way Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Shake Off The Stardust Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Just not On Venus Don't make it any worse Just Throw it in reverse Come On Come On Come On Down To Earth Gotta get your feet Back on the ground Back on the ground Back on the ground No tractor beam To pull you here And break you through The Atmosphere The vacant space between your ears Doesn't get it Doesn't get it You know I've tried my best You never gave the time of day Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Shake Off The Stardust Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Just not On Venus Don't make it any worse Just Throw it in reverse Come On Come On Come On Down To Earth Gotta get your feet Back on the ground Back on the ground Back on the ground Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Shake Off The Stardust Gotta get you feet Back on the ground Just not On Venus Don't make it any worse Just Throw it in reverse Come On Come On Come On Down To Earth Gotta get your feet Back on the ground Back on the ground Back on the ground
I totally agree Cybertech. I'm kind of a new fan of him and dream theater, but I tell you one thing, that is all I have been listening to. He is a great songwriter, the vocal arrangements are phenomenal and musically is so awesome.
This song isn't as simple as some think I believe. The vocal work in this song is, well,... Why I've been a fan of James Labrie since 2006, as long as the rest of the DT band. I can't sing to it like most songs, because I begin to annoy myself in doing so. That's how much this track captivates me.

It's a pity that James LaBrie does not release any more music in this style. This was absolutely mind-blowing stuff 10 years ago
James has been killing it with these latest solo efforts. MAJOR kudos to him, Matt, Marco, Peter, and Ray for giving us such amazing tunes!

This whole album is completely ridiculously good. It's pathetic how good it is. I'm addicted to Dream Theater as well. Can't get enough! :)
Couldn't agree more my friend.
Totally agree!!!
this is the real james labrie voice... he has an incredible and melodic voice .
You can definitely hear James' glam roots in this one, yet it has a modern, metal twist. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album

Man James' voice is one of a kind. This is awesome!
DT has a songwriting goldmine that they barely utilise. However, DT's loss is a gain to those of us who LOVE LaBrie's solo work.
The combination of musicians in this band, makes it unique! Come one, Peter Wildoer and Marco Sfogli are enough to make my blood boil.
Love James' high notes. He sounds bloody amazing.
The layered vocals in the second pre-chorus (1:16) are a great touch for sure.
the soft and emotional side of James' warm voice..
EoP is one of the best metal albums of all time. This song gets me excited for the new album. James' solo albums IMHO destroy anything DT have done for years. Keep up the amazing work Matt, James, Marco, Peter and Ray! Thank god for you guys bringing us the music we love!
2021 almost finished. New Dream theater,s album out in 4 days. Still loving Labrie for everything he gaves us, the true fans.🤘
This beautiful song just get 360.000 viewer in 8 years?? idk what people think in days now..
This song deserve 100 million viewer and likes ...

James Labrie
ALBUM of THE YEAR so far for me. Catchy, heavy, huge sound, great songwriting, and James sounds great. Gives me hope for the next DT...

Amazing song and masterfully performed by one of the best metal singers of all time: James LaBrie, great work Cap. !! 🎼🎙🤘DT 4EVER
Perfect.. James Labrie showing everyone that his solo work is here to stay. The best project metal of today!!
This kind of music really does make me want to start my own radio program, just to get it out there, and give it the exposure it deserves.
Esse talvez seja o melhor álbum já produzido por Labrie, todas as músicas são inspiradoras e com rifes pesados! James Labrie está de parabéns!!!
amazing
I agree with you 100%. His voice is a perfect definition of 'one of a kind'.
This is by far my favourite piece of work from James Labrie. A credit to music!
Una delle migliori voci in circolazione. Grande James!
Still knocking it out of the park after all these years- nobody sounds like James. What a voice.
the 7 string gives and amazing bottom end depth. James and crew have knocked another one out of the park!!!!
pop with 8-strings guitars!
Great song, especially the vocals and guitars!
Cant wait for the album! What an amazing song! The offbeats are super trippy! Amazing!
amazing that after so many years his voice is still one of the best in the world. he has such a unique voice.
Labries albums always were very solid and good, i expect no less from this one.
Wow!! Album is preordered!
So how was it?
We've tried all our best but you cry it out to space, James. Very well done! Thank you!
Nice, Labrie & Gallory jammin it t out again..
Always makes for a nice record, way to go guys..

This is a great song. James does a very, very nice job.
Wow this is a great step into "younger" sounding metal for James!!
Nice Song....i have to say that this Album is really awesome !!
this song is solid
I wish DT wrote something like this. Once more, nice job James!!!!
I can't wait until this album releases. The last two albums have been incredible, and I'm thoroughly enjoying all the songs that have been released so far.
You're lost in outer space
And I don't mean to burst your balloon
Put Yourself in my place
While you orbit around the Moon
You know I've tried my best
You never gave the time of day
And now you're out of breath
And heading across the Milky Way
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Shake Off The Stardust
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Just not On Venus
Don't make it any worse
Just Throw it in reverse
Come On
Come On
Come On Down To Earth
Gotta get your feet
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Riding a solar wind
As you leave to saturn's rings
You dig your heels in
But that's not gonna solve a thing
You know I've tried my best
You never gave the time of day
And now you're out of breath
And heading across the Milky Way
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Shake Off The Stardust
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Just not On Venus
Don't make it any worse
Just Throw it in reverse
Come On
Come On
Come On Down To Earth
Gotta get your feet
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
No tractor beam
To pull you here
And break you through
The Atmosphere
The vacant space between your ears
Doesn't get it
Doesn't get it
You know I've tried my best
You never gave the time of day
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Shake Off The Stardust
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Just not On Venus
Don't make it any worse
Just Throw it in reverse
Come On
Come On
Come On Down To Earth
Gotta get your feet
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Shake Off The Stardust
Gotta get you feet
Back on the ground
Just not On Venus
Don't make it any worse
Just Throw it in reverse
Come On
Come On
Come On Down To Earth
Gotta get your feet
Back on the ground
Back on the ground
Back on the ground

Great song, very motivating!

Omg i found this song again, heard this back in 6th, now im in Uni. Time flies
Brilliant song. I can't wait for the album.
There is something about the drumming that I cannot explain. It it just insane!
You should see the video of Peter Wildoer recording the drum tracking for this song...Talk about insane.
Astronomy + James LaBrie's band = Superhumanly epic win.
That was awesome! I for one, liked the lyrics a lot, great symbolism!
The new album is really shaping something fierce!
Great vocals, James!!!
Getting this album. Loving this tune and Agony.
this cd is going to be legen..wait for it..DARY!
LEGENDARY!

Holy crap I frikin love this song. New favorite from this album. Right next to Agony and Say You're Still Mine.
It reminded me of it with its slow, melodic intro and soft vocals.
Heard this song so many times I'm completely stuck on the ground now.

Yup. The man knows how to write a catchy vocal melody though so I think that helps redeem him a lot. Still one of my favorite singers!
WOOOOT CANT WAIT!!!!
PERFECT!! exactly my thoughts!! i hope the rest of the album is different...
A very good combination of badassness and sweet melodies :)
saludos desde Venezuela.. excelente.
JAMES AWESOME!
James vocal fits perfectly for his solo albums, i can't hear him in DT anymore.
Progressive radio pop rock that you won't hear on your local pop rock radio station.
Cheesy lyrics is good when music is good. You don't really have to pay attention to lyrics but great guitar tones and harmony!
So Catchy and So Good!!
Love it! The music and the message.
Wow this is really good!
James is ever AWESOME
Amazing!
wooow amazing!
