James has been killing it with these latest solo efforts. MAJOR kudos to him, Matt, Marco, Peter, and Ray for giving us such amazing tunes!
The lyrics on this track were not penned from James Labrie, but actually from Matt Guillory, his keyboardist. And depending on the way you interpret them, I think those lyrics are awesome.
Love James' high notes. He sounds bloody amazing.
The layered vocals in the second pre-chorus (1:16) are a great touch for sure.
My favorite track from this master piece called "Impermanent resonance". Also, this album makes me remember the best time of my life linving 3.5 years in Texas. It helped me "surving" the big distance from my hometown in Brazil. Thank you James and the band.
Man James' voice is one of a kind. This is awesome!
You can definitely hear James' glam roots in this one, yet it has a modern, metal twist. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album

Great song from a great Canadian singer. Some of the greatest sounding ROCK guitars that I ever heard were on James La Brie's "Elements Of Persuasion" CD, courtesy of the genius of Rich Chycki and his understanding of guitar and audio engineering.

This song should be all over Rock Radio, it is an anthem and is massive in its melodic and chordal content. What an uplifting piece of music.

The Lyrics is awesome, the metaphor/allegory speaks too much of someone you really dig in to, like being in a friendzone yeah? one of the best music and lyrics ever..
DT has a songwriting goldmine that they barely utilise. However, DT's loss is a gain to those of us who LOVE LaBrie's solo work.
Now, I'm not get back to Earth without this song...(John) LaBrie are perfectly!

Cheesy lyrics is good when music is good. You don't really have to pay attention to lyrics but great guitar tones and harmony!

You're clearly new to James' music. He's always had a couple ballads like this on his solo albums. Elements of Persuasion had "Lost", "Smashed" and "Slightly Out of Reach". Static Impulse had "Euphoric", "Just Watch Me" and "Coming Home". Impermanent Resonance has this.
