This feels like trying to get by on a technicality. Wouldn't the synthetic stuff be banned too, if the main goal of wearing silk patches/clothing items is decoration? Reasonably speaking, the effeminacy comes from the appearance too and not just the material of the item itself, right? You mentioned synthetic silk suits/blazers being fine as long as they're less than 30% actual silk, but wouldn't they be haram anyway, since the intention of using the synthetic material is to mimic actual silk?
Dear Yasir sb I am Always Thankful for these teachings and lectures....I have a question regarding rulling on gold carving as an embellishment on the upper suface only on a 925 silver ring. Is it permissible for men to wear? Plz reply.
I’m curious with the affairs in the world why is it that we are wondering about silk Thai on our necks and our clothes that we wear when we should be really worrying about the unity of mankind in the commonwealth of mankind and achieving peace for ourselves in these times of the pandemic it’s a good distraction to worry about a necktie I guess but this is 2020
Some of the finest silk weavers in West Bengal and Bangladesh are Muslims! Are they all wrong to do it? The contribution of these weavers to the textile richness of India and Bangladesh is incalculable.
For God's sake, men in the 21st century don't wear silk in copious amounts. Which century do you live in? And my question was different: is it haram to weave silk or even trade in silk?
Silk is *Haram* for men but *Halal* for women. And here’s proof ⬇️⬇️ It was narrated from Abu Musa that : The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my Ummah, and forbidden to the males." (Sunan An-Nasai: 5148) Hadith grade: *Sahih*

@asleep on internet awake in life I really don't understand guys like you. Are your lives determined by what was said (allegedly) 1400 years ago? For you, time has stayed still... I'm just dumbfounded. In India, we complain bitterly about the regression in some Hindus. But you guys... you guys seem to live in another planet.
Brother, there are somethings in Islam that are prohibited for both genders e.g. wine, drugs, etc these kinds of things cant be sold by the Muslims but somethings are only prohibited for the male or the female e.g. silk, gold, etc these things can be sold as the customer may be a female or maybe the customer can be a male buying for his female relations apart from this, if there are still Muslims selling and buying something which goes against the teaching of Islam...we as Muslims can only pray for them and ask Allah to guide them to the straight path

May peace be upon you all I hope you do not take offense to my last comment but I just encourage myself first and everyone else to experience the five prayers a day in a joyful way and to be mindful of what you say when you recite the opening chapter in your prayer to actually understand what it means to talk to your Lord please pray your five prayers a day and just try to be good neighbors to one another this is advice to myself first my dearly respected brothers and sisters Thank you
Silk is halaal for both men and women. If something is haraam in Islam, it is completely haraam. Not that a little bit of it is halaal and, beyond that, it is haraam. Like, alcohol is haraam in Islam completely, not that if you consume an ounce of it, it is halaal as it will not cause any intoxication. What does it mean that a small portion of silk for decoration purposes is halaal and that anything above that is haraam? It sounds strange and completely bizarre.

Silk ties haram haram or not haram?
If it is synthetic silk, then always yes. If it is real silk from the worm, he said that if it is 30% and under then it is fine
