TY for bringing this newer research to this channel. I read about this Two yrs ago. One of the foresters who was trying to tell the world about this has been ignored most of his career. He got a boost from a young female scientist who started studying trees when she was 10 yo. It took her a while to get credibility but her main general question she had an approximate answer. She had wondered if trees could “talk” to one another. She developed a simple chemical experiment and it was positive. Well that led to further questions and eventually university. She does meet this forester guy and he does collaborate with her. The world knows so much more now. She is who listened to the now old forester and then by his guidance began doing enlightening experiments that elucidated this fungi network. He also led her to other foresters that he had been in communication for many years across the world. She inspired other scientists to also study the forests’ roots and partnerships. So this information is not overnight in coming; but rather is a story of the last century coming into the 21st century.
